Hi folks, everything else seems to be working fine. I'm logged in in Fuse, I'm selecting "Web" in the center [Computer AMP Web Device] section, yet no presets or Band Tracks appear. Any help would be appreciated. - It works perfectly on a PC....

Thanks - Keith

Hi,
That is the correct result. WEB only selected if using SEARCH mode. Select COMPUTER to show presets in the PC file or AMP to show presets loaded in your amp. You can also access your presets via the top left preset indication window using the drop down menu's.

Enjoy, Ross :D

Hi Ross - thanks for chiming in - but I'm not sure I understand your response. I'm having NO trouble seeing the AMP or COMPUTER presets. I'm however unable to see any WEB presets or Band Tracks. Silverlight was updated and I've selected the word WEB in the center panel as well as the search panel. I'm logged-in, still no presets appears.

Thanks again for any thoughts. :-)

What OS are you running? I have the same issue with Snow Leopard. I upgraded to Mavericks and the issue resolved. Unfortunately it broke other applications I use so downgraded back. Now I just download from the website. An extra step but I sort of prefer it anyway. I can’t speak for OS Lion though.

I am having the same problem, I use a mac AND i'm using maverick (10.9.5) I'm logged in and everything else works but none of the web presets will load. I have to go to the website and download which is fine for now but I really would like it work properly. Anyone else have any ideas?

welcome to the club, same problem here.
Fender TLS said it´s a 10.6.x related issue, but I´m having the same issue under win7 as well.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for reporting the issue that you are seeing with Fender® FUSE™ and the Media Library Web search not populating content on Mac. I have just tested here in the Tech Support Lab on two separate Macs running Mavericks (inside and outside of our network). Both machines are populating the Web tab as expected (see linked screen capture).

It is important to remember that our minimum system spec. for Mac OS X is currently 10.7 Lion or greater. For those running older versions of the Mac OS, an alternative for grabbing content from the Fender FUSE Community would be to use a web browser and go directly to the Fender FUSE Community site (http://fuse.fender.com) Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

It's finally working on mine. What i did was go into system pref-->security&privacy--> and under where it says "Allow Apps Downloaded From:" you have to check "anywhere". This is what I did and now it works.

Give it a try

-Joe

Hi RobStarkWinter,

We are glad to hear that Fender® FUSE™ is working for you now. I also want to clarify for others who may be reading this that the Security settings that you are referring to are part of Apple's 'Gate Keeper' control. This has to do with what applications you would like to allow to be installed on your Mac. So, I'm glad that you got that sorted out.

The discussion here about the Media Library/Web tab in Fender FUSE is a internet connectivity/server related function. So, if you have gotten Fender FUSE installed, then you would have had to of adjusted the Security settings, at least temporarily to accomplish that.

With that said, it sounds like you have also had success with accessing content in the Fender FUSE Media Library. Is that correct? If so, great. If not, please let us know if we can assist further. Then we can go from there.

Best Regards,

Alan

Yes you are correct that I had to adjust the security settings to allow FUSE to be installed but once it was installed I went back and put it back to how i had it, so i only temporarily had my security settings open like that. But then i suspected that was causing the media library to not populate and sure enough that was the issue.

So yes, now my Fender FUSE Media Library populates with all the Presets and Band Tracks and I no longer have to go to the browser. Thank you for your help. I am forever all things Fender!

this might actually indicate that in the build process the code was just not signed properly, or even not signed at all!

This could be fixed by the Fender developers,
and if done properly it will make this work on 10.6.x also.

So please Fender, make it work for everybody...

Hi RobStarkWinter,

You are very welcome. And thanks again for your posts and follow up here. So, it should not be the case that you would have to have any specific Gate Keeper/Security Preference Pane settings selected to run Fender® FUSE™ (see linked image). With that said, we are very happy that things are working for you. But I wanted to clarify for the benefit of others reading this that the Security settings for installation are a separate function from running the Fender FUSE application itself. Please let us know if we can offer any assistance in the future.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi SenorUke,

Although we do not officially support Fender® FUSE™ on Mac OS X 10.6.8 at this time, it will likely work for you as a local editor. To use the web-based features in OS X Snow Leopard, you will want to use Safari (or your browser of choice). The issue lies in the age of the specific OS and Microsoft Silverlight not being fully compatible Snow Leopard. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi Alan,
I know I can use safari etc. but actually I was trying help to nail down the problem.

Fender TSL wrote:

Actually I don´t agree.
Because RobStarkWinters solution is a strong evidence that the underlying problem ist just caused by incorrect code signage during packaging of FUSE. Every used framework, like mono, silverlight, etc. has to be signed correctly during the publishing process.

This is most likely not a 10.6.x issue!
This could be fixed without touching the source code at all!
Please ask your devs to take a look at what I say...
kind regards,
SenorUke
