My v1 Mustang 1 seems to sometimes sound "watery" on the presets at times. But not all the time. I use the Deluxe (amber) preset mostly.

Any suggestions? Is there some firmware update I need?

TIA,
Bob

Dear birv2,

Thanks for your inquiry. I'm not clear on exactly what your're experiencing but with that being said have you attempted a factory reset? You can perform one in the following way.

1)Power your Amp off and while holding down the exit key power it back on. After performing this step should you continue to get the sound you described in your post the unit may needs servicing.I hope this helps and please let us know if we can assist you further.

Regards,

Steven,

Thanks for the reply. I did try that once, and it seemed to be OK for a while. Then the problem popped up again.

What kind of service would be needed with a digital amp? Is there some software patch that needs to be run? Is there a way to see if I'm running the latest and if not, to get the latest version?

TIA,
Bob

Dear birv2,

Thanks for your reply. Digital Amps have DSP cards that occasionally need replacing. When connected to Fender® FUSE™ go to:
"Main Menu\Utilities" and perform a Firmware update. You probably are at the latest Firmware update because if you're not a message appears asking if you want the latest firmware update. I'm assuming you haven't experienced that? This is the only option available as it relates to Firmware Updating. I hope this helps and please let us know if we can assist you further.

Regards,

Steven,
