Is it possible to set it to erase all previous settings and return to default?

Or save them somewhere first and then go back to default as the previous owner has made some good settings?

What you can do is do a backup of your amp in its current state through the Utilities menu. That way you can restore it at anytime. Once you have done that you can do a Factory reset by powering on your amp while holding down the Exit button

From the Advanced Manual:

1. Turn the amplifier OFF.
2. Press and hold the EXIT button while turning the amplifier ON. Continue holding the EXIT button until it is no longer illuminated.

The FACTORY RESTORE function will erase all user modified presets. It will also restore the AMBER bank of presets and any effect selections that have been modified using Fender FUSE software."

What I did after doing a Factory Restore on my amp was to then make another Backup of the Amp in its factory state. That way, if I want an individual preset from the original settings, I don’t have to restore the whole amp. I can just navigate to the backup folder and load it from there. Very handy

Once all that is done, if you want to return to what the amp was before you restored it, go to the Utilities menu and do a restore and navigate to your backup of the Previous owners configuration.
