I'm not able to get Fuse running on my mac. Seconds after launching the application, I receive the following message "The operation couldn't be completed (OSStatus error -43)"

My configuration as follows

Macbook Pro 2.3Ghz , 8 GB of memory OS 10.9.4
Fuse version 2.7.1
Mono version 2.10.11 (initially tried with version 3.6.0 but downgraded based on reading other forums)
XQuartz version 2.7.7

I initially installed Fuse on a case sensitive partition, based on recommendations on other threads I created a case insensitive partition and reinstalled Fuse. Got the same error

I appreciate your inputs

Dear Musashi,

Thanks for your inquiry. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with Fender® FUSE™. (OSStatus error -43) is usually permissions in my experience. Is FUSE installed on a non-case sensitive partition? If so you may want to make sure that it is also running the OS itself on a non-case sensitive formatted partition. It may also be worth trying a fresh Admin as well. Please let us know if we can assist you further.

Regards,

Thanks for the advice. I reinstalled the O/S on a case insensitive file system. Fuse is working now. This was quite an onerous fix.

I'm also getting the OSStatus error -43.

Is there any chance an update is on the horizon that solves this issue or do I need to reformat my Macbook to solve this issue?

Here's what I did to get it to work since I never use Safari normally...I'm on Mac OS 10.11 and Fuse 2.7.1

By default, Safari blocks Silverlight from working so you need to turn it on...

1. If needed, Update Silverlight from Safari then restart Safari to take effect
2. Go to Safari Preferences -> Security -> Plug-in Settings button (bottom)
3. Check the box next to Silverlight
4. Click the Silverlight box/button on the left so the silverlight plugin is totally highlighted
5. Change the setting on the right to ON for "When visiting other websites"

After I did that Fuse went past the "Loading" screen.

Thanks, did all that but still no luck for me. I still get "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -43.)

But.

I tried the suggestion in step 5 at this page - https://support.fender.com/hc/en-us/art ... ps-for-Mac

and it worked. It WOULD be good to find out how to rectify the issues causing the problem on my main user account though, it's a bit of a botch having to swap users just to use Fuse...
