I'm guessing you can use the "stereo headphone out" to input into a line-in audio on PC.
But, what about the USB used as input into PC? I see Fender has an ASIO setting.
I just want to know if someone can record directly into ACID PRO 7 and get the same tone as what ever preset they have, using usb.
Thanks for any help in understanding this.

Dear Coe,

Thanks for your inquiry. Yes you can use the USB to record directly into your PC for whatever DAW (recording software) you use. I'm enclosing a link that walks you through the process of setting up your Fender® MUSTANG™ for recording. The software used in the link is Ableton Live, but you can follow all the same steps using your program of choice. Please feel free to contact us directly at TSL@fender.com if you need additional help.

Dear Fender guys...
When I go to the link you mentioned above, it briefly mentions fender ASIO ,<sp>? which I downloaded, and then, it only gives directions for Amplitude! I don't need amplitude to use Ableton 9 lite, do I?? I'm guessing, but, isn't amplitude similar to Native Instruments Guitar Rig? If I'm using My Mustang v2 and Fuse, doesn't that take the place of amplitude?? I'm feeling confused and stuck at a dead end.
Mahalos for any help Brah!

Hi Coe,

If you read through the article, you should see instructions for both Ableton Live and IK Multimedia AmpliTube set up. Additionally, you will find (2) tutorial videos located near the bottom of the page for Ableton Live set up.

Please double check this and let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Thanks again Alan....brain-fart on my part!
And WOW! fast response!
related question....
When I registered and jumped through the hoops at Ableton, the only choice was Ableton Live 9 Lite. No live 8 Fender edition, or any Fender Edition at all. Am I missing something like before? LOL! Just checking. Mahalos!! Coe

Hi Coe,

So, Ableton Live Lite Fender Edition is the license type that is provided with the Fender® Mustang™ amplifier products (included software varies by model). We have detailed step-by-step instructions that go through the whole process of getting Ableton Live.

As you point out, Ableton is now providing version 9 software. We are in the process of updating references to Ableton Live 8 across our web site as well. As you have seen, once you set up an account with Ableton and register your serial number, you should be prompted with either a 64 or 32 bit download option for Live Lite 9. Ableton does not show a Fender-specific build in their download section. I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
