Do you have to have the amp connected to the computer to open fuse? I clicked on fuse to check it out and get an error -43 message.
Thanks

no, you should be able to open FUSE without the amp connected (although it's almost pointless). Can you take a screenshot of the error message and post it, or post the entire text of the error message?

Hi Assumer,

It sounds like you are on Mac OS. This error message is typically a permissions-related error. There are a couple of things you can try. But firstly, do you happen to be running your OS with any unusual type of disk formatting such as Mac OS Extended - Case sensitive? If so, Fender® FUSE™ is unlikely to function well on this specific type of format.

If disk formatting is not likely related, we would suggest that you set up a new Administrator level User Account on your Mac to see if Fender FUSE will launch and connect correctly to your amp in that account. Please see the link below to our support article for setting up a new User Account on Mac OS. And please let us know how things go.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hello,

i got the same problem. i get the message osstatus 43 when i try to open fender use with my normal user (mac 10.10.2). it's only working with my admin account, but even then it's crashing always the first time i start it. seems pretty unstable to me.
and only being able to use the program with my admin account is not an option for me. is there a way to fix this?
my blackstar software is working fine without any problems.

thanks for your help!

Hi esphulk,

Thanks for your post. Fender® FUSE™ does require Admin level access to run. In regard to the crashing, you may want to try running Repair Permissions (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) and possibly updating Microsoft Silverlight. Additionally, you are welcome to contact us directly for direct support that would be specific to your Mac. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi Alan,

thanks for your fast reply. That Fender Fuse needs admin rights is very inconvenient and really bad coding. This definitely needs to be fixed! The Blackstar Insider Software has the same features and doesn't require any admin rights. I hope this can be improved.
