My Mustang amp is connected to my laptop aeb green light in "Connected to Mustang", box, but the laptop is not available as an option in dropdown menu on the main Fuse screen. Have tried various disconnect/reconnects, reboots, resets etc, and nothing seems to resolve this problem. Anybody got a fix?

I'm not sure what you mean by this; what are you trying to accomplish? Editing presets?

I hope this is not too tedious, but in the name of clarity I'll say . . . In the main screen of the Mustang when connected to my laptop, there is the option of amp or pc in the drop down menu in the upper left hand corner for the different stored presets. Currently it only shows the amp as an option instead of one for the amp and one for the pc. All connections are proper. Resets and reboots and cord replacements have been done.

I simply hope to use them as a routine option during the normal course of playing and find the entire pc "option" is unavailable. Obviously the thought of losing my stored options available as pc presets is a bit distressing. I have since reviewed the process of backing up those options.

I hope this helps to clarify the question a bit better. Thank you for your time and effort. I sincerely appreciate the gesture.

ahh I see, in the upper left where you can select to either load presets from the computer or from the amp. So you do see a drop-down arrow, but when you click it, there is only the option of selecting the amp? That is indeed odd. I have no idea what to try other than reinstalling the program. But maybe you should wait for the official response from Fender staff.

Hey Strings, thank you again for your interest in my dilemma. Oddly enough, the drop down option for the pc has reappeared albeit minus all of those presets I had programmed in. I have lost those presets - apparently - and have undertaken the process of recreating new ones. Bad news indeed, but as stated earlier, I have since reviewed the process of backing them up properly in case of future relapses. Perhaps, somewhere in the use of the amp, the saved presets were lost and being there were none to be found there was nothing to show as an option. Although, it gives me reason to think that why indeed did the option for the availability of the pc presets once again reappear when there were no presets in the option available? Alas

Again thank you for your interest in this dilemma. Your little info box in the area on the left of this message area says that you are a professional musician. Is music truly your ongoing occupation? If so, congratulations my friend. Would be interested in hearing your work.

that sounds like Fuse has "lost" the location where your old preset files were ... but the files should still probably be there. Try searching your 'C drive' for: *.fuse

Oh and the forum rank (Professional Musician) is based on how many times you've posted on the forum: :D

Hey Strings, I found the folder for the files and although I see plenty of what appear to be stock presets, I didn't see any of those that I had created. I was looking for a Preset I had titled Dappy something or other to trying to recreate and alter a sound from an old song by "Sharon Jones and the DAP Kings" (remember them?) called, "Nobody's Baby". Trying to modernize the sound with a little bluesy, punchy side to it. I figured that would alert me to the right set of files.

Will keep looking tho and also BACKUP MY WORK in the future!

Thanks again. Will keep you posted.
