Hi
I have just taken ownership of a Fender Mustang floor.
I have a Boss ev10 expression pedal. Can I use this instead of the EXP 1 expression pedal?
I would like to use it purely as a volume control and control all the other parameters with the `on-board` foot pedal.
Many Thanks
Stux

Hi stux,

Thanks for your post here. So, there are a couple of ways you can do this. One way would be to simply run your Boss volume control pedal in line on input (i.e. guitar to pedal, pedal to instrument input on the unit. Your other option would be to connect the Boss pedal to the effects send/return which operates in the "pre" position. I hope this information helps. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi Thanks For your reply Alan
The only downside with connecting the boss volume before the mustang or in the fx loop would be that it would behave in the same way as turning down the volume on the guitar i.e. lower any gain set on the mustang

Hi Stux,

You are very welcome. And you make a good point. One other option you could consider would be to use an optional EXP-1 pedal (connected to the 4-button foot switch jack). In this scenario, you could set up either pedal to do whatever you like, placing the external pedal in whatever location works best for you, while having control over your election of many different parameter combinations on your Fender® Mustang™ Floor. I hope this is helpful. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards

Alan
