I,like some others, never got the Web funcion to work in Fuse, the window just stays blank and never finds a single preset,so I have to download each preset individually from the Fuse website and install it manually, each one. For the Bronco 40 it wasn't that bad as there aren't as many available presets for it as the Mustang has(just over a 100 on 8 pages for the Bronco 40). Having said that I now wanted to use Mustang Presets on a Mustang IV 150w,but daaamn there's 6512 on 435 pages,I am never going to be able to download all those individually and keep my sanity. It took me a good long while to download all the presets for the Bronco 40 individually, but 6512?!? I could be there till I grow old and grey, hehe.

So what I ask is,is there any way on here that I can download ALL presents for a specific amp(in this case the Mustang series) in bulk? As in,one big download containing all the presets to date for that specific amp.

If there isn't a way yet, could we possibly get one? It would make life so much easier :)

Going through 6,000+ presets doesn't sound like a life made easy.

I see what you're saying HybridChoky, it would be cool if there was a link to a 'zip' file containing all presets (the actual preset files are small and take up very little space).

The only problem would be that they'd have to keep updating the zip to include new presets. But it could be done periodically, and the zip file updated with v1, v2, v3, etc.

I'd second this request, not a bad idea.

You're already going through 6000+ presets every time you search. You would just be searching the computer instead of searching the web repository.

That I get.

My point is just that the number is always changing anyway and I don’t find the website to be all that cumbersome. I’ll usually browse the new uploads to see if anything tickles my fancy or do a search and download a handful and check them out. To each his own I guess.

Well lets not get greedy here, not periodically, once a month or two would be fine,or even more, because you would have the bulk of it already in the monthly/bimonthly download, anything new after that would easily be found under "Newest presets" as normal and you'd just add it yourself to your current collection. It's basicly just a way to get an inicial preset dump for newcomers so it isn't such a tedious task doing them individually from scratch when you are starting out. Because let's face it,the first thing you do when you buy these is say "Ok now let's spend the rest of the day checking out presets!"

Going through 6,000+ presets and picking out favorites to me is a day well spend,I would find that to be pure fun and enjoyment. I would go through 60,000+ if they were there and at the ready. Also, sometimes you don't "find a tone for your song" but instead "a tone inspires you to write the song itself".

I love ALL styles of music and LOVE listening to what others opinions of "good tone" are,so I am not just searching blues or rock or whatever,I want everything there is so offer. So yes,the website is not cumbersome to someone who is just searching a specific style they like and downloading a handful of patches that have titles that match their criteria, but it is if you are determined to hear everyones opinion of "good tone" and expand on that in all styles.

Also if you are just downloading a handful of tones, chances are you have most probably missed out on an absolute gem of a tone at some point, also everyone deserves an equal chance at getting their preset tone heard by others, but if they are new or not popular enough on the site it will get overlooked.

Between two similarly named tones, something like "Favorite reverb setting for singlecoils",you find one by Mustang Monday youtuber "InTheBlues" and unknown user "MrNewbieNoName",which would you download and which would you overlook? Who's to say MrNewbieNoName didn't do a better job on it until you hear it,maybe MrNewbieNoName has the exact same guitar model as you and fits your pickups more than what InTheBlues designed for his,so many variables.

Anyway thats just my opinion, and doesn't outweigh your opinion, both are equally important.

EDIT: If there is actually someone on here called MrNewbieNoName I appologise in advance for using that nick, hehe.

Agreed.

I’m sure I have missed out on some gems. I think that’s why the descriptions and ratings are so useful. I usually skip over anything that the uploader didn’t bother to at least provide some sort of description. So yes, I have most undoubtedly overlooked some good ones.

Can’t argue the point that its fun to go through the tones either so have at it.
:D

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the posts here. We will be happy to pass this along here. If possible, can one or more of you let us know what OS(s) you are using Fender® FUSE™ with? We are aware that there can be lag at times with Fender FUSE and populating the Web content in the Media Library.

In the case of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, there are known issues in regard to compatibility between Microsoft Silverlight and Snow Leopard. The Web content should populate for our supported OSs (https://fuse.fender.com). But please let us know what specific OSs we are talking about. And we will be happy to do some additional checking here.

Best Regards,

Alan

Windows 7 Professional and Windows XP Professional SP3

Both computers populate Web content in the Media Library normally.

-Web presets searcher is working on my desktop with Win7 Home Premium on the Bronco 40 bass amp.
-Web presets searcher is NOT working on my laptop with Win7 Professional on the Mustang IV.

Why not just use the Mustang IV with the desktop? Easy, the 2 thousand buck desktop is not to be moved from its room on a whim, and the 150w amp is not to come out of the soundproofed basement.

The now 6519 presets would come out to close to 20 megabytes, probably less...come ooooon, you know you want to :(

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your feedback and information here. We value all feedback from our Consumers. With that said, we would request that those participating in this thread take a minute and let us know what OS and what version of Fender® FUSE™ you are running. We have had an issue with the Media Library/Web tab being slow to populate and an occasional issue with our servers and access as happens once in a while normally. However, with a couple of exceptions such as Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (in this area), and at this point, Windows XP, Fender FUSE and the Media Library should be functioning as expected with supported OSs.

If we can get some specifics regarding OSs here, we will be happy to do some testing to try to re-create the behavior. Thanks very kindly.

Best Regards,

Alan

Thanks Alan

Here are a few notes

If I use my Mac Laptop which runs 10.6.8 I have no luck getting the web library to load at all. This is the main computer I use to access and edit my amp so what I do is download presets from the website and install from the downloaded files. When I upgraded this laptop to Mavericks, Fuse worked as expected but it rendered a lot of apps I use for work inoperative so rolled back.

If I use my work desktop which runs Windows 7 SP1 Professional, I can get the web library to load consistently from what I can tell. The only strange behavior I have noticed is that if I do a search for say “Chont” which is my Fuse user name, it does not always load all of my presets as I would expect it to. And if I want to load my presets in the fuse app and delete from the website, they sometimes disappear from the web library but reappear on a refresh and do not disappear from the site. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.

It would be cool to be able to manage your presets right on the website as I may be one of the few folks that like downloading from the site and loading the downloaded presets through fuse. I just like having the larger window to be able to read descriptions and comments from other users.

This is because the search doesn't look at the 'Author' when you are searching. I could see how it would be a problem if it did search the Author field ... what if my user name was "Blues Rock" and all my presets were for Jazz and Country?

some of them come up though

if i search 'Chont' about three presets come up usually so something is pointing fuse there. Wonder why it picks those.

Edit:

Just did this now...

Chont's Clean 65 Twin comes up so Yeah, probably searching by title. I think the other two that would usually come up have been deleted and were likely 'Chont's Champ' etc.

I also tried deleting and this too worked. Reappeared at first but then eventually did disappear. Perhaps some update occurred so i think its safe for me to say i have no issues to report on Windows 7 Professional SP1

I think it would still be useful to either see all your presets on one pate in the fuse app or be able to manage via the website. I like to keep my presets limited to one page and be able to delete ones that i think are old and improved upon.

Hi captainc/All,

My apologies for the delay in responding here. Firstly, in regard to the Mac OS X Snow Leopard compatibility and the Web search issue, we have conducted additional recent testing of Fender® FUSE™ and Microsoft Silverlight with Snow Leopard and determined that due to the age of the OS and ongoing updates to the Silverlight code, we are no longer able to support Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) for use with Fender FUSE. We are updated minimum requirements to Mac OS 10.7 or later. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding this.

In regard to the specific Preset search that was being chatted about here, if you enter the name Chont in the search field in either Fender FUSE or the Fender FUSE Community web site in the search section, you will likely see only one or two results. From there, you can click on the "by: Chont" text under the Preset title. This link will load all Presets by this author. I hope this is helpful. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
