Hi SenorUke,

Thanks for the additional information. And yes, if you have a video and/or can list reproduction steps, that would be great. I will re-test using the specific steps in your information. Based on the information contained in this thread, I was not able to reproduce the behavior described.

Best Regards,

Alan

hi Alan,
i just resent you the mail from 10th june 2014, including the video on how to reproduce the stompbox issues step-by-step,

your answer back then was:
Fender TSL via email wrote:
I have been able to reproduce the behavior you reported in regard to Fender® FUSE(tm) and your Passport® mini with the amp's Effects locations. As time permits, our Software team will review this. Any updates to the Fender FUSE software will be announced on the Fender FUSE Forum.

6 months have passed, now you say:
Fender TSL wrote:
-Stomp Box behavior: I am still unable to reproduce this behavior on our test bench.

how is that possible?

simple question: will this be fixed anytime soon or not?
thanks in advance,
SenorUke

I'm using Snow Leopard, v 10.6.8

In regard to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, it is still compatible with Fender® FUSE™. However, because of the limited development support for this specific OS at this point, Silverlight may not be fully compatible in the areas of the Media Library (Web tab) and the Web-based Search in Fender FUSE.

What we suggest is using Safari (or your browser of choice) directly in these situations. You can access the Fender FUSE Community and grab Preset and Band Track content and download it from the browser. Please check this option out, and let us know if we can assist further.

I don't see the point of that because I can search for and up/download presets via the FUSE Community tab with no problem, and there don't seem to be any presets anywhere except at fuse.fender.com .
Those AMP and WEB Search buttons (which should be check boxes, really) are just a waste of GUI real estate.

Hello folks,
another attempt to show Fender the pp-mini flaws I´m struggling with.
left aside all the small bugs for a moment, I just concentrated on the major issue, cause that one is the real dealbreaker. :(

Cause pictures tell more than words I did a screencast on the StompBox related software/firmware bugs:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3sjn9zidjeimv ... e.mov?dl=0
(pause if it´s too fast)

If you just want to have some nice presets and want to alternate them through the fx section on the go: it´s broken.
thats so frustrating and i seriously wonder how this got through any kind of QA.

imho thats quite easy to reproduce, but TSL feel free to contact me for any further information.
i´d like to know if you can reproduce, confirm these bugs and give an eta for a fix.
(although been waiting for 10 months already...)

everybody else, feel free to take a look.
consider the pp-mini only has these 2 knobs: preset & effects selection
Image

...come on fender, this cannot be so hard to fix.

Dear SenorUke,

Thank you for your inquiry. We are looking into the issue and will be running some tests on the subject. We will get you some feedback early next after we review the results of our tests.

I ran the tests here at the TSL and confirmed that the stomp box effect is staying on the preset even when scrolling through the effects patches. I talked to the developers and found that the stomp box effect was intentionally set up to be part of the overall preset. So both amp model and stomp box effect will remain through the entire preset regardless of which effects group you are on. The reason for this was that it was decided to be part of the overall sound for the amp selected. Since you can configure each preset to have whichever amp model you like I would suggest configuring a preset without the stomp and another preset with the same amplifier with the stomp. I hope this information is helpful, and it was designed to perform this way. Please let me know if you have further questions, you can always reach me directly at tsl@fender.com or the phone number below.

Thanks Daniel, finally some feedback.

The design decision doesn´t make much sense, alone for the reason that the "compressor" is in the same boat as "distorsion". Where is the logic behind that? Not very well thought out. This inconsistent functionallity renders the FX section completely useless in my usecase scenario.
That beeing said, such things should be mentioned in the manual and / or product page.

I´ve had a 30 days refund policy in which I was asking just that. A professional TSL answer 10 month ago would have saved my money and nerves, so imho thats a big fail from your support service.

After this "experience" I´m going to put this toy on ebay, having fun with my vox, and stay away from digital products made by Fender.
regards,
SenorUke
