I can repreduce every mentioned bug from above on win7 ultimate 6.1 b7601 sp1 64bit (latest fuse etc.)
so these are definately not OSX specific issues.

regards,
SenorUke

If you provide the specific steps you followed when you encountered a 'bug', I can verify it's not just you.

I have played mostly over headphones/ USB audio-interface so far,
but playing over the amp-speaker now unfortunately leads me to the next complaint
I got a very strage noise when playing over the internal speaker @ around 7kHz-9kHz.

testet it with an e-guitar
as well as with nylon stringed ukuleles (active & passive pickups)
with clean sounds.

I uploaded a sound example of guit&uke here,
this rattling is much more present in real than on the recording, please use appropriate headphones.

i have no noise over USB / headphones.
i´ve tested the same setup with a "different-brand"-mini with no such probs at all.

Is this just my amp or is this the way it is supposed to work?

Hi Guys,

We have reproduced the Stomp-related behavior here. I have let our Software team know. And we will review this and address it appropriately as time allows. Thanks again for reporting this.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi SenorUke,

In regard to the noise issue with your Fender® Passport® mini, it is not something that is expected. Does the amp produce this noise in all Presets with all models? And/or does it only occur with specific models/effects, etc.? If you could clarify this, that would be helpful. Thanks very kindly.

Best Regards,

Alan

hello alan,
unfortunately, the noise is produced more or less strong with every preset. even @ clean "studio preamp" preset and d it seemd to depend on frequency.
i tested different instruments, cables, power-plugs.
to me it sounds like a mechanical issue, like kind of an overloaded membrane, but investigating the amp closely i couldn´t find any vibrating or loose parts.
if you say that these noises should not be there then i´m probably just going to replace it at the store.

Hi SenorUke,

Yes, I would say that if the noise is present throughout on all Presets/effects, you may want to do an exchange. If possible, I would suggest that you demo another amp side by side just to be sure. And please let us know if can assist further from our end.

Best Regards,

Alan

the cause of the noise problem has been found, it´s mechanical.
the upper wooden backplate at the back of the amp was vibrating,
which I have fixed to some degree by adding a layer of EPDM-rubber.
unfortunately either the top plate and/or the circuit board do also buzz around, I´ll see what i can do here, but chances are bad cause of glued parts.
as a side-note, a second amp at the store showed the same behaviour.
anyway, I could bring the noise down to an acceptable level at least.

Hi SenorUke,

Thanks for the update and information. And my apologies for the delay in following up here. It sounds like you have been able to sort things out with the noise issue. I have reported this to the appropriate people here at HQ. Please let us know if we can assist with anything in the future from our end.

Best Regards,

Alan

now that almost 2 months have passed, is there any news on the confirmed stompbox issues?
is there any kind of progress?

SenorUke

Hi SenorUke,

Thanks for following up on this. Unfortunately, we do not have any news from the Technology Support Lab. We have let the appropriate people know about this. And we will definitely announce any related updates on the Fender® Forums as well as any additional appropriate locations on the Fender/Fender FUSE™ web sites.

Best Regards,

Alan

Has there been any response to my reported bugs so far?

I´m waiting now for 5 months to get some software bugs fixed!

These bugs render a part of the amp useless!!!!

Alan, if you can´t answer this please give me a contact.

five month ago you wrote to me
Quote:
I will keep in touch with our lead Dev, and try to expedite this ASAP

since then not a single word on that!!!

it´s been six month now

and not a single bug has been fixed!

it´s a shame Fender!
worst software support ever!

I´m considering sending this amp in to you, Fender, under EU law for manufacturer warranty (which is 2 years) and get my money back,
cause of

1) hidden faults, features not working as advertised
2) false advertising about minimum system requirements
3) manufacturer shows no efforts in refinishing faults

regards,
SenorUke

Hi SenorUke,

I have reviewed/re-tested the various behavior/bugs you have reported here. Please see my testing results below. With the one reproducible bug, I will follow up with our software team to discuss. Please keep in mind that the Tech Support Lab does not make decisions regarding implementation of updates and/or bug fixes.

-Stomp Box behavior: I am still unable to reproduce this behavior on our test bench.

-Effects Chain title change not being reflected until software reboot: This is something that we are able to reproduce and have reported to our Software team. I will remind our Software team about this bug and request that they revisit this.

-Effects chain parameters being saved in Backup: The Backup feature in Fender® FUSE™ does include effects chains from applicable hardware products including the Fender Passport® Mini. I tested to confirm that our current build of Fender FUSE is performing this expected behavior in the Backup process. And I am seeing the effects chains from the Passport mini in the Backup.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hello Alan,
thanks for your efforts!

Now that´s strange, I made a video demonstrating that bug a while ago, and back then you confirmed this via mail:
Quote:
I have been able to reproduce the behavior you reported in regard to Fender® FUSE(tm) and your Passport® mini with the amp's Effects locations.

If you wish i will send you the link to the video again demonstrating the stompbox issues step by step.
