Hello,
so I got my passport-mini and have some trouble, OSX 10.6.8, Fuse 2.7.1
Patched the mini successfully to the latest combined firmware package via Fuse.

In Fuse:
- The search function for "WEB"-search doesn´t work at all
- The Media-Library browser for "WEB" doesn´t work at all

I followed this guide

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/the-fender-fuse-community-uploading-and-downloading-a-preset/ wrote:
3. Once in the Media Library, click on the Web tab. Be sure you are clicking the Web tab in the Media Library and not the Web button in the search area.
4. All of the Presets and Band Tracks available on the Fender FUSE Community should be displayed. Locate the Preset you want to download, right-click it, and select Download Preset.

But nothing is coming up

Feature requests:
- Drag & Drop preset re-arrangement in Media-Lib "AMP"-view (unbelievable this is missing! )
- Option to turn off annoying GUI-animations

regards,
SenorUke

just to rule it out ... did you first log in to Fender FUSE, and then try the search?

I use same OS and Fuse version.

same problem

upgraded to Mavericks which fixed but broke my Protools and other Apps i need for work so reverted back to Snow Leopold and just deal with the search function issues. Sometimes it works... most of the time it doesn't.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the posts here. In regard to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, it is still compatible with Fender® FUSE™. However, because of the limited development support for this specific OS at this point, Silverlight may not be fully compatible in the areas of the Media Library (Web tab) and the Web-based Search in Fender FUSE.

What we suggest is using Safari (or your browser of choice) directly in these situations. You can access the Fender FUSE Community and grab Preset and Band Track content and download it from the browser. Please check this option out, and let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

hello alan,
thanks for your reply.

thats a bit dissapointing, cause the fuse product page lists OSX10.6 as minimun system requirement. (1)
such limitations should imho somehow be pointed out there or somwhere else.
using the browser of course is an option, but it makes handling presets even more uncomfortable.
is fuse abondonware or is there still a chance the usability will improve?

Thanks Alan,

I’ve been just downloading presets from the website and installing via Fuse from the beginning and like that method better anyway because I can see descriptions and comments/ratings by other users much easier. The only drag is you can’t delete presets from your account this way so I use the media library function within the app for this. Works a little better on Windows 7 so I’ll sometimes do that at work. Being able to delete on from your user account on the website would be great though.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your replies. And to your points SenorUke, Fender® FUSE™ is not "abandonware". The challenge comes into play due to the fact that Snow Leopard is an older Mac OS at this point, and Microsoft is no longer supporting Silverlight builds with specific focus on Snow Leopard. So, Fender FUSE is compatible and usable on Snow Leopard, with a couple of limitations that can occur related to Silverlight.

And further to your point, you make an excellent observation regarding a need to clarify these potential issues for Mac users who are still running Snow Leopard. We will add updated notes to the System Requirements section on the Fender FUSE home page ASAP. In the mean time, please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hello Alen,
thanks for your kind reply.

I think I will go with the browser solution for now, or update the system one day...

Don´t get me wrong, I really like the amp, and the concept of programmable DSPs, and I´m already having lot´s of fun with it! :D

But the software is unfortunately another story.
I mean it works for what it´s made, the preset editor is nice and well viasualized,
but the rest of the software lacks of usability-standards in any way as of 2014. And then it´s even build on deprecated silverlight.
Reading the forums and seeing users tackling fuse´s weaknesses, like with horse tamer, or even linux-plug, so I wonder if fender is going to implement new features and develop fuse a step further, or if we´d have to live with what we´ve got already. :?:

And, if fender is not going to evolve the software, are you please going to release specs, APIs or the sources to let the community fix things or write 3rd party software?
regards,
SenorUke

 found a few more bugs:

Effects-Preset-Configuration:

stompbox broken:
- A stompbox/ post-gain only setup cannot be saved.
- stompbox/ post-gain effect is inserted into all presets, not only the selected one (which also kicks existing sb/p-g effects in every other preset!)

ui:
- Changes after saving a preset are not reflected in the Interface (labels @ large selection knob view) until restart uf FUSE

i hope this gets confirmed and fixed
regards,
SenorUke

did some more testing.

it seems that in the "Effects Configuration":

loading & saving a a stompbox/ post-gain doesn´t work at all.
All other effects work flawlessly and can be saved and restored!
it also doesn´t show up in the backed up preset xml (/Effects/EFFECTS/xyz.fuse)

On the other hand, saving/ loading the stompbox/ post-gain as a part of a regular preset in the "Preset Editor" works.

so it looks like for now i cant use distorsion in the effects section, please help :(

Hi SenorUke,

Thanks for the updated post and information. Can you contact us directly via the information below, and provide specific reproduction steps? Then we can follow exactly what you are doing, and try to reproduce that way. Also, please be sure to include your Forum name and the version of Fender® FUSE™ and firmware you have loaded on your Fender Passport® mini (Fender FUSE Main Menu/Help/About Fender FUSE).

Best Regards,

Alan
