New Mustang Owner - Bear with me please - Can you download a preset from the computer library to be resident on the amp? So download the preset from the computer to the amp, disconnect the computer and the preset is always there on the amp for use without the computer connection. Do you keep track of the presets on the amp with the colored light locations?

Probably in the manual somewhere but I'm not picking up on how this works.

Thanks for any help.

Try this, for your purposes, sounds like you can start at step 9:

How do I get the pre-set from a folder on my desktop into the amp when it is connected to Fuse? Will I be prompted to pick a location to store it? (i.e.: Pre-Set 1-100?)

There's probably more than one way to do it, here's what works for me:

1. Connect the amp to the computer via USB

2. Turn on the amp

3. Start Fender FUSE

4. Click the Import button at the top of the Fuse window

5. Browse to your desktop

6. Click to select the preset file you downloaded, and then click Open

7. Select which items you want to import from the preset (Amp Settings, FX Settings, Band Settings, or any combination)

8. Click OK

9. Now click Media Library in the upper right of the window

10. Make sure Computer is selected in the Media Library (not the search buttons at the very top, the buttons that are next to where it says 'Media Library')

11. Locate the preset you imported in the list

12. Click to select the preset. Then right-click the preset and choose Save Preset to Amp...

13. In the Choose Location dialog box, specify a new name (if desired) and choose what preset number should be overwritten with the downloaded preset.

14. Click OK.

I have a Mustang III so no lights to keep track of my presets. I think this is the info you're looking for though ....

Preset storage
Your chosen pre-set selections are then stored in three columns of different colored lights: red, green, and amber. The amber color contains all of the factory presets, while the green and red storage bank lights are for your own creations.
