Hi, sorry if this has been dealt with, but could not find an answer..
Some of my gigs have a backline where I will fly in and they can have a rented Mustang to use, and I NEED to be able to load my presets into this rental amp. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Cannot find this in the manual. Thanks! CTF

Get a solid laptop, install Fuse and save your presets to the laptop. Assumming you actually a half dozen presets, it would take but a few minutes to load them off of the laptop and onto the rental unit during your sound check.

Another alternative maybe to get a Mustang Floor and take it with you and play the Floor through the rental amp. I must admit to guessing this as I have very little Floor experience.

Is it the same model Mustang as you have at home? Another way of going about it would be to create a backup of the amp and restore it to the rental amp.

In Fender Fuse:

Main Menu  Utilities  Backup...

Interesting scenario, some of us here on the forum had speculated about how convenient it would be if venues had Mustang amps on hand so we wouldn't have to travel with them. I guess we weren't the only ones.

If you really want to make it easy, use a cloud server and store your backup there. Then have the staging crew (given they have a laptop with Fuse on it) is get your backup off the cloud server and restore it to the amp. You show up, your amp is ready with all your presets in place.

However, to do this you'd have to have a LOT more confidence in your staging crew than I do...

Thank you all for the excellent answers here. I had assumed that this would be handled via a laptop or external drive, but was unsure as how the actual transfer would work. Does the amp via the USB port automatically recognize the laptop, or is this something that would be handled through the FUSE software on the computer? This is a BIG deal to me concerning some future gigs.... I am getting HOOKED on this amp, and I NEED those presets for the show. Thanks for any help...ct

You need to have FUSE installed to use a computer to interface with the amp at all (AFAIK).

Another thought about getting your preset files or backup file to the person who loads them on the rental amps ... you could save the file to a Dropbox account and then email a link to the file.
