BUY SOME EFFECTS PEDALS !! , ok I'm teasing, but what you see is what you get, the amp has a certain number of effects onboard to choose from, any additional effects would have to be in the form of effects pedals

no problem, I find that the Mustang amps have plenty of onboard effects, the only thing I use in addition to my Mustang is a Volume pedal and a wah pedal. I rarely use any other pedals, have fun and enjoy your amplifier,

No I don't know how to play Van Halen tunes, Eddie is a phenomenal guitarist, but I was never a big fan, I recognize his talent though, I prefer more of a slower style of playing, I prefer players like Billy Gibbons and Tony Iommi, and I like Dimebag Darrel,. but I lean to southern rock, blues rock, and Black Sabbath
