I'm trying to obtain a good quality acoustic sound setting for my Fender Mustang amp. Can anyone advise me how best to do this please?

Hi Patrick,

It will depend on which Fender® Mustang™ amp you have? If you have a Floor, it has a "Studio Preamp" model which is ideal for use with acoustic guitars. If you have a V1 series (Mustang I-V), you would likely want to select a model that is as clean as possible and turn off the Gain completely. If you have a V2 series (Mustang I-V) amp, you can use the "Studio Preamp" there as well. Check this out, and let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

hi, I use epiphone les paul with mini humbucker, I have some preset that almost sounding like an accoustic guitar, but I found the best when I use AC30 model, I set Bass to full, mid set to minimum (0), and find your sweet spot on Treble, if I remember I set it to 8. I set gain to minimum but not zero, manage signal not too low and not get distorted, I also use Compressor before/pre amp effect, to limit the peak of signal so the sound become clean nicely. On post amp effect, for reverb, small room or plate reverb will work well. Also pitch shifter set to octave up with low volume/level will give me some nice harmonic.

update: I forgot, my amp setting was not 10 at bass and 7 at treble. here is my preset, work well with my mini humbucker neck position: https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets ... oustic-emu

Anyone have a good idea for the presets for Mustang v2 II, that I could use with an acoustic? I have a Fender CD60CA. Love the guitar & would be able to use the Mustang with my Tele & the acoustic. Thanks

Cheers

Hi derrickg,

Your best bet would likely be the "StudioPreamp" model. This is a very neutral amp model and is intended for use with acoustic guitars.

Best Regards,

Alan

The Studio Preamp does a great job for my acoustic. I use it for live performances all the time. I add some light compression to even out the tone and get more presence and then a touch of reverb and delay to fill in the body. It's a great warm sound, especially finger picked.
