I have a Mustang IV. I am using Fuse , one of the worst programs I have ever seen. All I want to do is save a Clean Strat sound I downloaded from the Fender website to slot 13 on my amp. I managed to save the first 12. Now it will not save. It reverts back to the prior setting. I checked the manuals, and cannot find a simple set of instructions on how to do this. This software frustrates me like NO OTHER!!!! Fender....either you join up with HHS and help them to continue building web sites that dont work or learn to write software that can be used...or at least a simple set of instructions.....you know..."1....2.....3......A.....B.....C...." I mean , come on....

Have you "unlocked" the settings? This under the utilities on the amp and you can access through Fuse as well. Once unlocked, it will stay unlocked unless you lock it.

Give it an evening or so to get through the learning curve. Once you get over the hump, this is as cool as cool can be.

On the amp it says its unlocked, but it still does the same thing. Tells me it saved my new preset then goes back to the original preset. I really am starting to think I made a mistake when I bought this amp.

I’m not an MIV owner so not familiar with the differences in operation but if it were me, I’d try updating or reinstalling the latest firmware. I’d backup your amp presets prior to doing so. If that does not work, I’d contact Fender TS directly. I have not had any issues with using fuse. It’s a simple GUI to learn so I truly think once you get past this you’ll really enjoy your amp.

Good luck

I tried that too. Updated Fuse and the amp. Odd thing is I was able to do 12 presets. Then, it reverts back to the original setting when I try to save.

Hi Rodtod,

Hmmm? I am playing through a MIV V2 with Fuse running on a Lenovo Win7 laptop. It works like a charm for me and I still am blown away by the Mustang. (I really avoided modeling amps and swore by the relative simplicity of the Frontman 212R and the new Champion 100 (the C100 is really nice if you are not into modeling and want a loud, clean sounding amp without the expense or maintenance of tubes.) My MIV V2 fell from the heavens and I was enchanted.)

Anyway, back to your circumstance. I assume you purchased the MIV used? If so, have you done a factory reset? Turn the amp off, wait a few moments, depress the exit button, turn the amp on and keep press the exit button until it goes out. That should give you the MIV as it came from the factory.

Just as a suggestion, you may want to do a clean reinstall of Fuse.

Those are my suggestions, but you may want to contact Fender directly or perhaps some users of the MIV V1 may chime in.`
