Been trying to dial this in for a bit now. Definitely high gain with what sounds like fuzz in there somewhere. Best examples would be Buddy Holly and The World Has Turned and Left Me Here.

Right now I'm thinking 90s American (Dual Rec) with slight compression. I've tinkered with British 80s amp (JCM 800) with overdrive but it doesn't seem like it gets quite the gain needed.

I think this is some of the best distorted tone from the 90s on this album.

Any help or reccomended starting point will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Try the 5150 model (Metal 2000, I think?)

The reason I say that is I used to have a Peavey combo amp that got that exact sound. It's a combination of lots of bass and saturation. Mine was a different model Peavey, but maybe the 5150 model has what you need.
