I am logged on as a regular user, but run the installer as administrator from the regular account. I can try logging on as administrator if that will help.
I almost never log on as admin, 99.65% of installations go off without a hitch.

Hi joe68sg1,

Thanks for your reply. Fender® FUSE™ does require either Admin permissions or an Admin user account to run. Please give this a try and let us know if this resolves the issue you are seeing. Thanks.

I finally had time to sit down and reinstall the fuse software logged in as admin.
It finally worked !!! That is all the problem was...

I do have 1 more question :
Why do I have to be part of the ADMIN group to run this software? I don't mind being admin to install, but why not let anyone using the computer run this software after it is installed? Am I missing something here? The software is only useful if it is connected to a compatible amp.
Also, please include this info into the Fuse manual.

Thanks for your reply. In regard to the Admin concern, the software simply requires an Admin level account to install and run. That is the way it is set up. But we understand your concerns and will forward your feedback for consideration. Please let us know if we can assist further.

What is a standard user account?

A standard user account lets a person use most of the capabilities of the computer, but permission from an administrator is required if you want to make changes that affect other users or the security of the computer.

When you use a standard account, you can use most programs that are installed on the computer, but you can't install or uninstall software and hardware, delete files that are required for the computer to work, or change settings on the computer that affect other users. If you're using a standard account, some programs might require you to provide an administrator password before you can perform certain tasks.
