I have updated several times, and now run the new version 2.7.1
However, when I view the version under menu-help-version, the software says I am using version 2.4.
Is this a bug in the software or is my version not really updating?
Thanks

I just checked mine, it shows 2.7.1. Have you tried deleting Fuse, and then installing it?

Hi joe68sg1,

We will be happy to assist. Could you please let us know if you are operating on a Windows or a Mac system. Are you seeing any limitations in regards to the Fender® Fuse™ software, at this point? Please let us know and we will be happy to assist further.

I am running Windows 7 x64 home premium with all available updates on a HP Pavilion desktop.
I have updated a couple times and the version in the help screen does not change.
The software seems to work OK...just the version does not change. I think I installed 2.4 right after it was released.
I thought the glitch would be fixed with future releases, but not so far.
Thanks
Joe Scheuring

Hi joe68sg1,

We will be happy to assist. We would recommend that you go through Control Panel/Uninstall a program, to perform the uninstall process for the Fender® Fuse™ Software. Fuse™. Once this is completed, install the Fender Fuse version 2.7.1 again and see if it helps resolve the issue you are seeing. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.

Sorry I was out of town for a couple weeks.
I uninstalled the Fuse software, and installed the new Fuse 2.7.1.
When I go to Main Menu, Help, About, it still says I have 2.4.1 installed.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Joe, I'm running the same Windows OS as you (7x64 Home Premium) and mine shows up as 2.7.1 in menu/help/about.

Only difference I can see is that this is my first (and only) download of Fuse.

I have installed every version since 2.4
It is not a problem as long as I am actually running 2.7.1
The problem is how do I know for sure?
Is there a way to actually check what version is running?
Thanks

joe68sg1, just brainstorming here .... are you logged in with a user account that belongs to the 'Administrators' group when you install the software?

It sounds like there is a registry setting that should be overwritten upon install but isn't. That's why I'm wondering if it has anything to do with permissions.

Also, are there any pending Windows Updates?

Hi joe68sg1,

In this case we suggest that you try one more uninstall of the Fender® FUSE™ software. And this time, after the software uninstall is complete, go to your C drive\Program Files (Program Files x86 for 64 bit systems)\Fender folder. When you locate the Fender folder in program files, delete that manually as well. Then perform a re-install and see if this step corrects the functionality. Then we can go from there.

Best Regards,

I'm a bit out of date with my Fuse software, but when I check FuseLauncher.exe in Program Files (x86)/Fender/Fender Fuse on my hard drive, the File version is 2.3.0.7. I'm running Fuse 2.30, so this is what I'd expect.
hth...
Alex

FUSE is a Silverlight application. You may have to open C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Silverlight\OutOfBrowser and remove any and all folders there with a name that ends with fuse.fender.com, else you may just end up reinstalling the same app again.

OK, I uninstalled Fuse 2.7.1, then used Win explorer to delete the Fender directory in the x86 directory.
Then, I installed 2.7.1 using "run as administrator", and after installation it reports v2.4.1 in about fuse.
Any more ideas?

I also deleted the Fender.Fuse directory in the outofbrowser directory. Now, Fuse will not start. It installs without any errors.
Now what can I do ?
Thanks

Hi joe68sg1,

Thanks for the update. You mention running the installer as Admin. Is your user account an Admin level or Standard account type? Please let us know. Then we can go from there. Thanks.

Best Regards,
