Hi

I haven't used Fuse in about 6 months. When I fired it up on my PC it said there was an update (2.7.1) so naturally I accepted the update. Now I can't connect my G-Dec 3 Thirty. It says -

"No Amplifier Connected"

I tried restarting my PC, reconnecting amp after power down, no joy.

Please help!

I have just searched the forums for previous threads on this issue -

What!

So I went back to Ver 2.4.0 which I had saved on my PC and BINGO it works!

Why would I waste time on the new version? Can anyone tell me?

Hi SlickString47,

We will be happy to assist. This sounds interesting and we might need to look into the issue you described. As we continue to add new products with Fender® Fuse™ connect-ability, we continue to add new code to the existing software. For example, if you own a Fender® Mustang™ (V.2) amplifier, you need to install the Fender Fuse version 2.7.0 or later, in order for the software to recognize the Mustang (V.2) device. If everything is working in your case, there might be no reason why you have to update to the most recent version of the Fender Fuse Software. Please let us know if we can assist further.

As long as I am not missing any functionality and as long as everything continues to work I will stick with ver 2.4.0

It's a shame this situation is occurring. I hope you are working on avoiding putting your customers in this position again.

Hi SlickString....welcome!
I used to update my software for just about everything on my computers at home and work, until I found that some of the updates were causing me grief...especially some of the Windows updates....go figure.
I then remembered the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and have tried my best to follow it ever since :)
FWIW, I'm with you on the Fuse upgrades....I have a GDec 3-30 (which I love :D ) and am running Fuse 2.30. It works perfectly for me and has full functionality.
Happily living in the past.....
Cheers,
Alex

Thanks for that Alex! I too love my G-dec and will stick with the old version of Fuse. It's good to know I'm not missing functionality. So much for keeping up to date eh!

Well, I just updated FUSE to the latest version before trying to plug in my Mustang V V.2 head for the first time.. I get the "No amp connected."

I know the usb cable works... it is the one supplied with my Mustang and I hear the chime when it is plugged and unplugged.

I also own a G-Dec 3 30 as well. Now having trouble with it too. HELP TSL!

P.S. Unfortunately I am using the god awful Windows 8 on a Samsung laptop PC.
