Don't see much in the way of updates to the fuse software or any user request's being taken any notice of. Is anybody doing any coding on this software at all. Is anybody even out there. Maybe this is a word processor and not a forum.

Be fair. Fender came out with an updated version in June this year.
Most commercial software operates with an upgrade cycle of once or twice a year.
Unless there are critical bug fixes that have passed QA and are release ready long before the next release, you shouldn't expect a new version until December at earliest, and possibly not before next June.

I was being fair, it needs to do more to be really useful, like a way to sort the presets in the order people want them. Just look at the requests that people made and still no changes. People move on quicker these day's so taking notice and being on the ball is important for all of us.

I understand both points of view: Having a release in June is too recent to expect anything at this point in time. However in royarn's defense, the preset limitations regarding ordering and printing have been well published and have not been addressed by Fender in over 2 years. One can only hope! :?:

Yes we are wasting our time here.
All Fender do is what they want to do.
The Fuse upgrade in June was only to bring it in line with V2 Mustangs from what I can see.

I blame the managers - or maybe they've been told to spend no money.
I also think Fuse is sub-contracted to developers outside Fender, so it will cost money for each update.
It's a real shame they can't be bothered to address the requests - or even say why they ignore the repeated requests for features.

And still nothing being done to make the program function for Linux machines, Windows sucks !! They say it has something to do with Microsoft silverlight, but there has to be a way to make it work, after all Netflix uses silverlight and somehow somebody coded a Netflix app that works perfectly under Linux, Problem is I don't have the knowledge to make Fuse work on Linux without using Windows XP in a Virtual Machine.

Silverlight is even abandoned by Microsoft now. It's a technology that didn't take off, and it's canned.
Those who use it for development should find something else.

This cluld be good news in the future for Linux users of Fuse, Maybe if Fuse makes a new version minus the silverlight it might just run under Wine, one can only hope,

Nah, my guess is that they'll put Mustang updates on the back burner - perhaps a few half-hearted bug fixes, but nothing else. Replacing Silverlight would be a major effort, to the point of rewriting most from scratch.
Instead, my speculation is that they work on a new and incompatible product line to replace Mustang, using yet another proprietary technology that will be equally short-lived. Perhaps even iPhone/iPad compatible, because Fender hasn't really caught on to IOS being on the way down, and Android now having over 80% market share...

But yes, we can only hope. I think it is a futile hope, though.

perhaps,. Android or IOS I have no interest in,. smart phones are too invasive to the end user so I will never have one or any cell phone for that matter, We can only hope that Linux gets support for Fuse but I suspect that it isn't likely. on the note of Silverlight being a dead issue.. makes me wonder what Netflix has planned, The only time I have ever needed silverlight was for Netflix or Fuse. other than that I don't know what use it is

Don't worry about Netflix: http://www.webmonkey.com/2013/04/netfli ... for-html5/

It would behoove Fender to make similar announcements regarding future plans for supporting the Mustang amps with software.

While I like my Mustang, the software is near unusable with "newer" equipment, like high DPI displays, and it uses skeuomorphic controls that are near impossible to use. So I think I'm going to sell it while some buyer still might have old computers to run it with. Even v2 is years antiquated technology and design, unfortunately.

I'm good with my amp, my computer is from 2007 and it still works just fine, I have no desire to upgrade to the newest gadgets, the problem with computer technology is that the more sophisticated it becomes the easier it is for it to be used against the people, but people do not realize this. they only want the latest toys. I understand at the same time I am being slightly hypocritical because I am sitting here using a computer and my rights and freedoms are routinely violated everytime I turn my computer on, but my point is the newer tech will be even more invasive than what we already have, anyway thanks for the info about the Netflix

They should have built it in Flash or Macromedia (now Adobe) Director - anyone in the industry could see Silverlight was a pointless MS exercise trying to muscle in on Flash territory. (Of course this was before Steve Jobs threw Flash out)
But Flash the code platform is still alive.. as is the vintage Director.
Who cares if it's skeuomorphic - works for me - just the knob rotate is clunky.
It really shouldn't be more than a few months work for one or two developers - having the visible structure and graphics already there is a big start. I even know a guy who has the abilities to do it...
