My understanding is that the Fuse software is not related to the amp modelling in Amplitude, so I was wondering which one is better/more accurate?

From initial tests, the fuse modelling seems superior, although amplitude looks like it might have the edge on foot pedals/effects. Both of which appear to be superior to logics native amps/pedals.

One advantage of using the mustang is that I can use real pedals. So currently that is my preferred option, using fuse and capturing the processed signal 'live'

I can however see the benefit of another option, having the signal recorded clean into logic and then being able to manipulate it after recording, which may be possible with amplitude and the use of a bus to send/return chains in logic.

Id be interested in seeing how other people setup for recording, and if they have any preference over the amp model simulations/setup?

HI, Pablo!

I record using the mustang I and Fuse with Audacity, meaning, it records the signal with whatever effect/preset you´re playing on. I like it better that way, since I wanna record with sounds I can actually play later and sound the same. If I use amplitube over a clean signal, yes, perhaps it´ll sound good too, but it might be difficult to have the same sound when using only the mustang.

I don´t know how accurate are either regarding the amp/pedal/cabinet they try to emulate, since I don´t have or have had any real equipment. To me, they all sound good generally, and I certainly like Mustang/fuse sounds; if only, distorted settings seem to me that they lack some "punch", if that makes sense; perhaps I am setting them wrong..

I modified some presets and they are what I use for recording, depending on the song.

Sabas.
