I can't download presets from the web page embedded inside Fuse. I can still download through a regular webpage and through the Media Library (which is s-l-o-w-w-w!).

When I click the Download button I get a message saying that my flash player is out of date. It's not but I updated it anyway. Still says it's out of date.

I have a G-Dec 3 Thirty. I have Windows 7 home professional and flash, Silverlight and .Net Foundation is all up to date. I also Internet Explorer 10 and Windows Update says I'm OK, too.

Yes, I know I have two workarounds but they are slow and/clumsy and I think I should be able to use the embedded web page for downloads as it is the easiest and the fastest.

So, what am I doing wrong, folks?

Hi Ralph124C41,

We will be happy to assist. We would recommend that you try to clear cache and cookies to see if that helps resolve the issue you are seeing. You might want to try a second Internet Browser, if the first step proved unsuccessful. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.

Turn off ActiveX Filtering
In Tools, (IE10 upper right gear icon) Safety, uncheck ActiveX Filtering.

Also make sure your Java version is up to date: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Please post a reply to let us know if this works. It should this problem drove me crazy on several websites for a long time.

I have an update

1. If I click directly on the download link I get the message that flash player is out of date.
2. If I right click on it, an IE page opens and then when I click on it I get the same message

3. If I try the right click but shift open to CHrome it works. and it works with Firefox.

I have IE set as my default browser

Flash player says it is upto date on all 3 browsers. normally I don't like to use IE and generally use Chrome but I switched the default over to IE b ecause I know Fuse needs IE to run, doesn't it?

ideas? I mean I can do a workaround but I would like to directly click and have the thing downloaded without having to switch.

Hi Ralph124C41,

Thanks for your feedback. Can you make sure you have at least IE 8 installed. Even if you do have IE 8 installed, you might want to update to the latest version of IE. Please let us know how it goes and we will be happy to assist further.

I'd make Firefox your default. Fuse might need IE to run but that just might be on the windows side. A lot of apps require IE explorer. Heck even the windows OS requires it. If you uninstall IE... your windows OS gets all jacked.

Dear Fender TSL,

In the first / original post of this string he stated he is using the latest IE10.

I made Firefox the default. same problem but I can right click and a Firefox page comes up and I can download.l

then, I changed the default to CHrome, with the same results.

so my flash player is current; chrome does it by itself and I've downloaded specific versions for IE and Firefox.

As I said I can download with the right cliick but why does FUSE keep saying my flash player is out of date on my Fuse-embedded browser. I am still thinking Fuse sees IE as the embedded browser, despite it not being the default browser. so there is some glitch as far as I can see.

Hmmm

Perhaps reinstalling fuse wouldn't hurt now that you've updated everything else

Hi Ralph124C41,

It sounds like you still are seeing some browser based or Flash issues. Your default browser choice should not have any relation to Fender® FUSE™ or its operation in the browser itself. If the Flash player is up to date in whatever browser you launch (when using the Fender FUSE Community directly through a browser), you should see Flash functioning correctly. The Fender FUSE application always uses Internet Explorer as its browser interface.

If you are still experiencing issues, please consider contacting us directly, and we will be happy to offer some additional personal assistance. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Best Regards,

I'm having the same issue. Just got my Mustang II today and installed Fuse. Right off the bat it tells me Flash is out of date which is nonsense. I go ahead and install Flash anyway and it still does not function correctly. Reinstalled Fuse to no avail. The major PITA is that I can't download presets since there is NO manual download link - just that stoopid flash panel that is playing dumb.
Just as an FYI I'm a software engineer with many many moons of experience in all kinds of systems so I'm not a n00b by any stretch.
