I am so impressed with my new Mustang III V2! With a clean, deliberately undistorted patch such as the 65 Twin Reverb I can run the master volume on 10 and it remains that chimey, clean, undistorted Fender sound, and loud like my real 65 Twin Reverb Reissue. Truly an amazing little amp! I noticed that the Celestion speaker's impedance is 8 ohms. Since the power amp section is solid state, can it handle a lower impedance without being damaged? I was just wondering how the 15" Eminence Commonwealth speaker like the one in the Twin Reverb Custom 15 would sound through the Mustang. It is a 4 ohm speaker. Just curious. This could be the only amp one would ever need! With the XLR outs and 100W power it's the perfect practice amp and gigging amp, small or large venue.

Hi Lynn Nicholson,

We are happy to assist. Thanks you for your feedback. We do not recommend using the Fender® Mustang™ III (V.2) in conjunction with your Fender® '65 Twin Custom 15 amplifier. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Please forgive me for being unclear. I was not going to use my Mustang in conjunction with the Twin Reverb. I have a Mustang Floor for that! I just want to know what the minimum impedance for a speaker is safe to use with the Mustang III V.2?

minimum is 8ohms you could get two 4 ohm speakers and wire them in series to keep the load at 8ohms and you would be fine,
