but I still have the same questions. First, how does one associate a"preset" guitar sound wih a "band track". I'll make it as straightforward as possible - I have a preset named "ThrillisGone". I have a band track named "The Thrill is Gone mp3". I want the two to always be associated with one another.

Once the two are associated, I then want to put them on an SD card so I can play the combination on my G-DEC 3 Thirty. I don't want to take up a space on the amp because I have the "Blues" version loaded and I want it to stay intact.

I can't seem to understand how this can be accomplished. I would appreciate some help and, please, no wise crack comments like "read the manual". I've read the manual, I have much better than average computer skills and, eventually, I would be able to figure it out but it shouldn't be this difficult!

Once I get up to speed on the workings of the amp and the Fuse software, I'll plan on putting together a "How To" for common tasks. I don't see why someone hasn't already thought of that. Nothing should be this complicated!

Excellent plan...I and many others have almost all the band tracks on SD card(s). I also have many presets on the SD card as backup, but my understanding is that the presets that you are going to use on the amp must be on the GDec HD. They don't take up much space, so the small capacity of the internal HD isn't really an issue. I could be wrong about this though :?
The information you need to associate a band track with a preset is on p7 of the advanced GDec manual (or at least it is in my version!).
For me, the most efficient way to transfer presets and/or band tracks from the GDec to a SD card is to use the GDec as a USB drive which is recognized by your computer and then copy the files from it to the computer or a properly formatted SD card (which can be already inserted in the GDec, or in a SD slot in your computer). Instructions are on p11 of the advanced GDec manual.
You're quite right - the manuals are confusing at first, but it's well worth the effort. I and no doubt many others look forward to your How To manual...it would be much appreciated, I'm sure 8)
cheers,
Alex
