Hello all...

I'm not too sure how to phrase my question(s)/issue, so here goes....

I really like some of the presets that are already loaded on my Mustang III, some I do not like at all. I have a downloaded a few, created a few and tweaked a few that I wasn't real hip on.

Is there a way to save an entire package of presets?

Also, I'd like to re-arrange them in an order that suits me and what I'm trying to achieve. The only way that I can see to do it is to go though each and every preset and save each separately and then load into the desired slot/location. This would take soooo much time.

Is there an easier way?

that is pretty much the only way that it can be done, one at a time, there is an app called Horse Tamer somewhere on this thread but It didn't work well for me, so I spent 3 hours setting all my presets in order manually

Well that just totally blows!!

So what you're saying is that I need to separate the tones/presets that I have created and/or downloaded to another folder. Then save each preset already loaded on the amp that I want, then at that point, started loading the presets in the banks that I want?...one at a time??

This is gonna take a while...and suck!

Thanks Kreature.

It appears that Fender didn't think this one all the way through.

In response to the first question, assuming Fuse for Mustang operates the same way as Fuse for the G-DEC, the answer is yes, you can save all your presets at once. You do not need to do them one at a time.

Simply do a backup (I believe it's pg 9 in the manual) and restore as you wish. From the manual:
"These Fender FUSE features add functionality beyond what the G-DEC 3 provides
on its own. Use Preset Backup to take a snapshot of your G-DEC amplifier
Presets including the Band tracks with all their current settings. Fender FUSE
saves backups on your computer with your personal descriptions so that you can
easily find and Restore them at a later date. If you want, you can save several
completely different G-DEC 3 backups such as "My Rock Presets" and "My Blues
Presets" and restore each one as the occasion or performance need arises."

As to easy, drag-n-drop rearrangement...well, that's been on the wish list for over a year. However, many people have success with HorseTamer or SpeedShop. (I use SpeedShop, works for me!)

Good luck!

Jeff

I am aware of the backup feature but as far as I know there is no way to organize them into banks quickly without using an app like Horse Tamer or Speed Shop, Otherwise you have to go through one by one and tell the amp I want this preset to slot 01 and this other one to slot 02 and so on, then you can back up the amp, as far as I know Horse Tamer will allow you to edit your backup to arrange presets, I tried this a while back and Horse Tamer did work sort of, but it screwed up all my presets, effects were missing, the names were right but the amp models were not the same as my original presets, basically Horse Tamer just made all kinds of changes at random to my presets, So I had to install my original backup and then spend a couple hours arranging my amp the way that I like it
