I just bought a Fender Mustang 11 v2 and am playing around with the fuse software.
What I find difficult to wrap my head around is that the 24 presets (one knob 3 colors, 8 positions on that knob) are all labeled right on the amp, for example "65 twin reverb". So if I change that slot and it becomes a completely different preset, there doesn't seem to be a good way to keep track of what slot is what sound. Besides writing out a list for yourself.

In a similar way, the effects knobs have the letters for the effect type, but no numbers to tell you what the effect is without referring back to the usual guide.

Am I just thinking about this all wrong, or is it kind of hard once you start changing presets to keep track of what they are because the slot is already named as something specific on the amp itself.

Hi curlyjive,

We will be happy to assist. In order for you to utilize your Fender® Mustang™ II (V.2), to its full potential, we recommend that you install the Fender® FUSE™ software and connect your amp to your computer using the USB cable that came in the box. The difference between customizing Presets directly on your amp and using the Fender® Fuse™ Software is as following. If you make any changes to a Preset directly on the amp, you can then only save those changes to either the Green or Red Bank. If you are connected to the Fender® Fuse™ Software, you will be able to make changes to all all three banks (Amber, Green and Red). In order for you to keep track of your Preset settings you might need to make some notes of the changes you made, after you disconnect your amp from the Fender FUSE software. The advanced user manual will most likely be your best resource when it comes to knowing what MOD and DLY/REV is assigned to each specific slot effects slot. Please let us know if we can assist further.

To keep it easily in order, (in your brain) I keep all like amp settings similar, like the first three amps I use for Distorted presets... then in the next cycle, the same three basic amps will also be my metal and rock presets..but slightly different.

My Twin Reverbs and Bassman on all cycles tend to be my blues type settings...etc

I don't really worry about where the effects are..because I do that by tooling with it while making your presets...then once you have sounds you really like...you save..and forget about the effects dials.

Make sense?

Hi curlyjive,

on the Fender Mustang I/II amplifiers, once you make changes to a Preset (inside Fender FUSE), you will only be able to save it to the Green and Red Bank.

I recently got a Mustang l V2 and can save presets on orange bank as well as red or green.
