I have the Mustang V version 1. I just bought the additional 2 button footswitch, I like the added versatility but the 2 button options seem a bit redundant combined with the 4 button, I really have no need for stomp on/off on the four button and the two button footswitch, the only two options that are not available with the 4 button switch is tap tempo and reverb on and off, the 2 button menu has these available but not both at the same time. you can have stomp on/off and reverb, or stomp on/off and tap tempo, I already have stomp on/off on my four button switch, I would like very much if Fender could release a firmware update to allow tap tempo and reverb to be assigned to the 2 button switch simultaneously, hopefully you all can make this happen so that we can get the most out of having both footswitches, I'm sure other users would find such a firmware update extremely useful

I agree. I'm kind of disappointed that I bought the extra pedal. Why can't the 2 buttons be used for bank up/down and the 4 button all be program changes? Or even more ideally, why couldn't Fender have come out with a pedal board similar to the Mustang Floor but without the effects? I need a volume and more controls. Kind of stupid to buy the Mustang Floor and the Amp.

right, well in my case bank up and down isn't necessary because I have that option on the 4 button switch. I don't mind cycling through the 3 modes of the 4 button,. that is quite easy, the only thing you can't do with the 4 button is tap tempo, and Reverb On/Off, so in my opinion that would be the best application for the 2 button switch, these features are available with the 2 button but not simultaneously. If they can add a firmware update that makes this an option the amp would be much more usable, It doesn't make sense to me to have a stomp on/off on the 4 button and the 2 button controller, I don't need 2 buttons that do the exact same thing. hopefully Fender is listening and will make tap and reverb available simultaneously on the 2 button switch, I understand that more features would be nice, or a controller for the amp, I believe the the EXP-1 could be used as a volume pedal, but I'm not willing to pay 100$ for an expression pedal ., they should really drop the price on the EXP-1 to about 50$, but for now since I have both footswitches I would like to be able to add the reverb and tap at the same time

I'm not sure if I understand the question, but if you mean Bank Up/Down on the 2 button and turning effects on and off with the 4 button, it does indeed do that. You assign the 2 button to bank up/down via the UTIL menu, and select Mode 3 (STOMP/MOD/DELAY) on the 4 button.
