:?: Just signed in for the first time in a few weeks, my computer's telling me new Fuse software is available, and I gather from what I can make out from the various threads on the board, it also involves a firmware update. So, at this point,March 27th, 8:35pm, do I accept and download it or avoid it like the Plague!!!???

P.S. I have a Mustang 1 and a G-DEC 30.

And please hurry with a response...my new Tube Screamer TS9DX was just delivered and I'm "jonesin" to play!!!!! I need to download a clean preset to my SD card. And btw, why, when I've tried to download that preset to my G_DEC that I converted to the special blues version does it tell me it's locked and will NOT allow me to change from the amps current preset to the clean one I downloaded from FUSE to my computer?

Thanks.

Update_...Is there anybody out there?...hmmmmm...note to self...DEFINITELY not the site to use in a medical emergency...been almost an hour and a half...been reading support articles...such as updating G-Dec to v1.03.00.03, but the link below is for v1.04.00.03...no wonder we have questions. But the quick response makes up for it all.
Been a while since I read the forum rules...is sarcasm allowed?

Sure, bring on the sarcasm! Other than problems this place is pretty quiet. The software is not intuitive and the many differences in amps that use fuse is a huge design mistake, just like naming the new GDEC 3-30 when there was already a GDEC 30. Just plain old stupid.

I have updated my fuse and my firmware to the latest versions on XP and no problems now. Except the downloading of presets from within fuse has always sucked, I just download them manually from a firefox browser and then move them into the fuse folder with the others. The amp is locked you can unlock it in utilities, get the advanced instructions if you can't figure out, it's locked so you don't erase what is already in there by mistake, as the design only allows overwriting something, there is no open space for a preset.

Hi Ziggymom,

We will be happy to assist. You should not be seeing any issues with upgrading to a newer version of the Fender FUSE software. We ask that you "opt-out" of any firmware update message that might appear, after installing the latest version of Fender FUSE. For urgent matters, in regards to your Fender FUSE software or connected device, we ask that you contact us directly, using the information below. Please let us know if we can assist further.
