I'm running Windows 7, and I have multiple stantdard user accounts on the system, and one Admin account. I was running Fuse 2.6 from one of the standard accounts with no problem. I upgraded to Fuse 2.7 without uninstalling 2.6 first. When I ran Fuse from the standard account it was still version 2.6, but when I ran it from the Admin account it was version 2.7. I then tried uninstalling Fuse and reinstalling 2.7. Now 2.7 runs on the Admin account, but I can't get Fuse to run at all from the standard account.

Is there a way to completey remove Fuse to do a fresh install so that it will run from all accounts?

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the software (both 2.6 and 2.7) several times, and the results are baffling. I also ran a file in one of the Fuse directories to uninstall all versions of Fuse The standard account that I used to run Fuse under will no longer run the software. When I try to start it nothing happens. When I log in to the Admin or another standard user account the software will run.

The really strange thing is after uninstalling the software and only reinstalling v2.6 when I run it under the Admin account it comes up as v2.6 in the standard user account that still works it comes up as v2.7.

I don't really see much in the registry for Fuse so I can't understand how it thinks there are 2 versions installed, after it was all uninstalled.

Can someone from Fender please explain how to completely remove Fuse so I can try a fresh install so that it will work under all Windows accounts? Thank you.

Hi Freehbird,

We will be happy to assist. Assuming that you uninstalled the Fender FUSE software using the uninstaller under All Programs/Fender FUSE, that should have removed all Fender FUSE components. The only remaining folder would be one existing under My Documents named Fender. Try deleting the Fender folder, then also make sure that you don't have a Fender FUSE process running under Task Manager. If you find that there is an active "FUSE" Process under Task Manager, you should try ending it before you uninstall the Fender FUSE software. If this doesn't help resolve the issue you are seeing, we recommend that you contact us directly at tsl@fender.com or call us (see number below) and we will be happy to assist further

Thank you Fender Tech Support for providing the Fuse Troubleshooting Tips to solve this issue. :D

Uninstalling Fuse and Silverlight along with all of its directories and then reinstalling solved the problem. I'm now up and running again with v2.7.

Kudos!
