I tried to install Fuse on my MacBook Pro 15" Retina, but so far no joy... :(

I started installing FenderFUSE_FULL_2.6.0.25 but my Mustang I v2 could not connect...

After searching the forums I tried the following:

Restarting my Mac, unplugging and plugging in the USB cable and switching off and on the amp
re-installing Silverlight from the installer taken from the Microsoft website (Silverlight was already installed by the MS Office installer
The Mustang appears in the Sound preference panel as input
removing Fender Fuse and the Fender kext extensions
    Installing FenderFUSE_FULL_2.6.1.35
    Still not connected
    kext extensions were not installed...
    re installing FenderFUSE_FULL_2.6.0.25
    still not working...

I hope somebody can give a little help...

I don't know those Fender Fuse but excuse my question ,are you sure you know how to dowload on a Mac ?

It must work on your Intel Mac

If yes . Do you see there is a new version here;

fuse.fender.com/

OK, the two disk images I mentioned are the latest stable version and the beta version as they are offered on the fuse.fender.com site. I re-tried them both again half an hour ago (de-installing the fuse app and 3 kext files before each install). The Mustang I amp is recognised by my mac as an audio input in the sound control panel (so the USB connection seams to work properly...) However, in Fuse the amplifier is still not shown as connected...

The Mustang amp itself seams to work fine...

I'm still puzzled...

ps. yes I've been programming and working with computers since the early 80's, have a Mac since '92 and managed to keep them working both for our business as in my studio :-)

I just made a recording Playing my Stratacoustic Deluxe: The mustang amp works fine ( I want to use it as a practice amp in the living room). I used the Mustang USB as audio input in Logic Pro 9 and that worked perfect and in one go :-)

However, still no amplifier connected when I start Fuse... :-(

I kept on reading the other topics and found out the following:

Fuse 2.6.1.35 works without the kext extensions
It also seams to let a Mustang I connect to a MacBook Air

At least one other guy has the same problem I have: my Mustang I V.2 does not want to connect to Fuse on a Macbook Pro 15" Retina running Mountain Lion.

My question is: is it a problem with the V.2 firmware in combination with Fuse in general or is my Mustang amplifier having a problem?

I hope somebody has a brilliant idea :-)

In addition to the things I did before, I tried the following this afternoon:

Installing Fender Fuse on a WIndows 8 laptop: exactly the same problem
Installing Fender Fuse on an old MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard: exactly the same problem
Using different USB cables: still not connected...

Again: the amp itself and recording the Mustang I V.2 through the USB port works like a charm

I saw that GunnaPanda just posted exactly the same problem!

Hi Guys,

We have just released an initial updated version of the Fender FUSE version 2.7 software that is compatible with your amp. Please see the link below and grab the new build from there. Thanks.

Thanks for the updated Fuse software, now it works like a charm :-)

As I already wrote in one of the other topics: Why didn't you tell us from the start that the V.2 versions of the Mustang amps weren't supported?
