Hi jake101010,

I will be happy to assist. We currently do not support Windows 8 for Fender FUSE software, but we are hoping to be compatible in the near future. Please check back with our website fuse.fender.com periodically for the latest updates. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

Please see link for Windows 8 compatibility with Ableton:

Hi atkinsg,

We don't officially support Windows 8 quite yet. However, I have tested the behavior you are reporting. I connected a Fender Mustang I, launched Fender FUSE and edited 2 Presets and saved them to their original location on the amp. I double checked that all components saved correctly. I then brought the Presets from the amp to the PC. Once that was done, I opened the same 2 Presets from the PC in Media Library. I found that all components loaded and displayed correctly.

Perhaps you can email us one of the Presets you are seeing this behavior with and we can check it out. If you do, please be sure to include your Forum name, real name and the text from your post here, and we will be happy to check it out. Thanks.

I did some additional testing and my issue is not related to windows 8
I installed fuse on my daughters laptop with windows XP and I have the same issue.
When I install a preset from your forum over an existing preset it first displays that it is over written.
I select all three check boxes to overwrite all .
it appears like it has completed ok ( I do, do a save as well).
If I leave that preset and re select ti via the amp knob ,the amp displayed is actually the amp that I was previously trying to over write.
I can get around this by selecting the amp that it was suppose to be from the drop down and do a save.
it is ok after that.

it does not do this for all that I have tried to over write only some.
it may be the presets loaded by the community?
I will do some more testing and collect the presets that I am using from the web site, and respond as you requested. Love the amp BTW,

Hi atkinsg,

Thanks for your follow up here. It looks like you may be using the Import function in Fender FUSE. This function is intended more to import specific parts of a Preset to an existing Preset. I would suggest that you use the Add To Library function in the Media Library in Fender FUSE or use the file path included below here to save your Presets to the Fender folder on your hard drive directly. Please check out these options and let me know if this works correctly for you.

Import Function in Fender FUSE:

File path: Documents\Fender\FUSE\Presets

Hi jake101010,

We do not officially support Windows 8 at this time. However, we have been testing and are not seeing any significant issues with HID (plug and play) USB functionality and Fender FUSE. Currently, there are known issues with ASIO and Windows 8 as the OS has changed in this area significantly from Windows 7 and older OSs from Microsoft.

If you are buying or have bought a PC with Windows 8, you should be able to load Fender FUSE on your PC and use it normally (see link below for our latest build). If you encounter any issues, please let us know. We will announce official support for Windows 8 as soon as possible. Thanks.

Hi
I can connect my Mustang Mini (just purchased) to a laptop running Vista quite happily.

However the software running on a desktop running Windows 8 cannot connect to the same amplifier.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Fender Fuse software to no effect any idea what I can do?

Is it likely to be a USB issue, or is it not yet compatible with Windows 8?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have been running Fuse on Windows 8 for some months now.
In fact I am running it on an Acer Aspire One netbook, with registry patch that allows setting Windows 8 1024x768 resolution (netbooks default to 1024x600).

I also installed Ableton, but I do not use it. I find it's screen is way too busy and compressed compared to my Adobe Audition dual-monitor setup.
