I'm a big fan of John's tone on the Try! album.

Any suggestions on a tweak or a download that captures this tone?

Hi domino.college,

I'm not sure what amp you have. If you have a Fender Mustang, you may want to take a look at the following link. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

Hi Kwikrp,

I have freshened up the link for the John Mayer Presets in this thread. Additionally, you can use the Import function in Fender® FUSE™ to import Mustang™ Presets for use with your Super Champ™ X2. To do this, go to the Import button in the upper left area of the Fender FUSE interface. Then, you will receive a message informing you that the Preset may sound different when used with your amp, etc. Click OK. Then select Voice and FX check boxes, and click OK to import the Preset.

Once you have done this, you will need to save the settings as selected Voice and Effects (FX) locations in order for them to be available for use on your amp when it is not connected to Fender FUSE. I hope this helps. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
