Well dangit ya asked for it pilgrim!

How about starting off and using them so called path-dialogs that they use in civilized cuntries so that you can not only load from or save to anywhere on any computer or hard drive including the neighbor's piano but even have a system that's actually smarter than a brain dead butler that the master is always tripping over and remembers the last path and opens to it automatically the next time?

I know microcrap windows don't let you save to or load from too many places that redmond cannot control but they're increasingly NOT the only game in town.

Hi humchucker,

I am guessing that you are referring to the file paths to save Presets and Band Tracks for your Fender FUSE-connected product. If so, they are as follows:

Presets: Documents\Fender\FUSE\Presets
Band Tracks: Documents\Fender\FUSE\Audio\Wav-Mp3

Please let us know if we can assist further.

Yesssss, & this BTW was supposed to end up under wishlist but didn't.

Anyway, I'm well aware that winduhs, especially since XP, doesn't encourage users accessing things outside of where microsoft thinks they should be accessing them and that's precisely why I'd like to see these path dialogs that let ME (the guy who paid for a fender amp) decide what computer, what hard drive, what partition of what hard drive (and so on all the way to the neighbor's piano) I will save stuff on or read stuff from.

Typically I never use the OS partitions but isolated data partitions for such, some vfat, some NTFS, some reiserfs, some ext3. I'd like at least to be able to use any vfat or hpfs data partition i.e. any that windows can at that moment handle because I made them visible to windows. USB dongles are another example. Sofar I have only been able to copy to/from the cited paths without being able to use them directly. It's NOT a big deal, but it's annoying.

Hi humchucker,

Actually, this is not really a question of what access/permissions are available in Windows or even Mac, etc., but more a question of how you would like to organize your data related to Fender FUSE. We set up the default file path as listed above so that Fender FUSE can directly access your data upon adding it to your start up drive. If the application did not have a default location to use, it would not know by default where to store data that can be loaded within the Media Library.

You can actually store your Fender FUSE data wherever you like. The only catch there will be that the app. won't see it automatically and you will need to use the 'Add To Library' function in the Media Library to add the files. In regard to the idea you offered, while we cannot make any promises as to whether or not a specific idea will be implemented, we are always happy to pass feedback from our customers to the right folks here and very much appreciate the effort and opportunity to learn about our customer's experience. Please let us know if we can assist further.
