Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, I couldn't find a search button. Out of 100 presets on my new Mustang III, there are, maybe a dozen I'll ever use, and on stage, I want 3 or 4 to be right at the top, together, easy to find and select. Can I change the order of my pre-sets in Fuse then upload that order to the Mustang? After I've downloaded a few more presets that I may find useful, can I create banks of pre-sets that are easily accessible? Last, but definitely not least, there are a bunch in here that are just noise and clutter to me. Can I delete them so I end up with only 10-12 to scroll through instead of 100?

The way it's set up is just impractical for use on stage. I need to re-configure it to my needs.

Yes, you can change the order of the on-amp presets via Fuse, although it can be a pretty tedious process if you want to do a lot of reordering.

No, there is no provision for creating preset 'banks' on the amp so you can select presets in groups - a failing of Fuse and the Mustangs compared to many other modelers. (It may however be possible to do something like this via the foot-switches ?)

No, you can't delete presets to reduce the amount of scrolling - the amp will always have 100 slots to trawl through. Apparently Fender think having 100 presets is a big selling point. Probably tells you what market these amps are aimed at - consumer rather than pro. I also agree that the excessive number of over-cooked high gain presets among the 100 is annoying, and unlikely to excite anyone other than a young teenage boy (ageist and sexist !).

In the Fuse online library there is a preset called 'Empty' that you can download. It still occupies a preset slot, but has all of the model/effects elements turned off. I have used it as a 'spacer' between presets. After a lot of work I have the 3-4 presets I use live in the first few slots on the amp, with a few 'empty' slots on either side, to avoid hitting anything unexpected when I'm using the dial knob. This works ok but it took a while to do and really should have been much easier to achieve - maybe in a future, better developed version of Fuse.

Thanks. Talking with some of the guys in the Mustang III owners club over on the Telecaster Discussion Page, I got a few strategies for managing presets. Currently what I have is sets at the top of the list in the amp -- Twin presets in 0 - 2, Deluxe in 3 - 5, Vox in 6 - 9. It would be nice to build a set around the Bassman, though, and some others that are mix and match. I can see it getting cumbersome at some point, but so far it's ok. What's not is preset list management in Fuse. They really need drag and drop without overwriting. That's basic stuff and would increase the functionality and ease of use tremendously.

Drag and drop has been repeatedly asked for on this forum, and is supposedly on the software developers' list of things being looked at for future updates, however there remains some doubt that it can actually be implemented under the existing Silverlight based Fuse framework - a question that Fender wont answer.

Hi depepat,

I can tell you that I have personally discussed this feature request with several of our engineers. I cannot make any comments regarding future development. But, as always, we appreciate your input and feedback. I am very happy to assist our customers in any way that can add benefit to the products that we produce and support. Thanks.

In future releases drag and drop would be great. I'm happy Fender is at least taking these thoughts into consideration.
