It is my understanding that the Android software design at the moment places some limitations on the ability to properly implement some types of music-related programs on Android based phones - for example track syncing in a multi-track recording program.

Maybe that will change, but at the moment the iPhone seems to be ahead in that area.

(Please Note - I'm not an iPhone fanboy - I actually have an Android based phone !)

I agree.
A fuse on android, would be really cool. Almost every android phone sold today has USB-host capabilities, so it's definatly possible.

That would be awesome! Everyone now using android and iphone. Although the iPhone already has some apps like AmpliTube, irig and the similar. It would be really practical and useful :)

I don't even need it to control the amp directly. It would be great if I could control fuse on my desktop with an android tablet.

To hell with a so called smart phone, a better investment in time on the part of the Fuse developers would be a Linux compatible version of Fuse for those of us who use Linux, A smartphone is not a good thing, I for one don't want to be tracked like they track animals on National Geographic, essentially when you carry one of these devices in your pocket you are willingly giving up your right to any assemblance of privacy whatsoever,

The one thing folks with Android phones are forgetting is that the iPhone grew from a brilliant music player and its hardware is always putting music first, thus is specificaly designed with music apps in mind (Hardware and Software). BUT of course whatever Apple does SAMSUNG and the like will always try and better it, so I will assume android phones will be good on music ability too soon.

The problem with Android phones and tablets is very bad latency.
Until that is corrected guitar software that emulates amps and pedals ie. Fuse, Amplitude,
Guitar Rig etc just won't work correctly.
Lets hope Samsung is looking into it, so us guitarists with Android devices can join the Ipad, Iphone group.
Cheers!

resurrecting an old thread here, but making a version of Fuse on Android has nothing to do with latency, not iphones being designed "for audio": all processing is done on the amp, all the program does is offer a user interface to the amp.

I'm reluctant to upgrade my Mustang I to Mustang III because of this lack of Android support. I suspect competition from Line6 will eventually for Fender to do it, but probably in a new model (Mustang v3?).
By the way Fender, Line6's idea of letting you use bluetooth instead (or in addition to) USB is pretty brilliant.

Fender better do this soon or they could loose their advantage that they currently hold. . I think mobile devises are here to stay. A Fuse type app in iOS and Android would put Fender miles ahead of the competition.

It's a shame they don't already have one.
