Hi Mogzy,
As far as I'm concerned, the two main factors in sustain are the guitar/pups combo and your hands (technique). You can get your guitar to sustain a note a bit more by using echo, delay and compression to a degree, but if you've got poor pups and/or setup thereof, you're not going to go too far.
Take your guitar to a good guitar tech and have it setup if you haven't already done so.
Oh, almost forgot...if you turn your amp up to 11 or 12, the notes will take longer to die away (sustain), but the downside is that your ears will bleed 8)
cheers,
Alex

Hi Lee,
Click on advanced amp (right hand side, below tuner button) and a new panel opens up below the amp controls. One of the new controls is compressor. You can also change your speaker cabinet setting (timbre) here if you want as well as use the noise gate to ride on top of noise (most problematic with high gain settings and single coil pups) and you can put your tone stack either pre-distortion (mellower) or post-distortion (think Neil Young and Crazy Horse).
I've got a Fender Nashville tele Deluxe (single coils) and a Gretsch Chet Atkins Nashville (humbuckers) and both guitars have lots of sustain to my ears, even on a Blackface Cln or Fender Tweed dry setting. Remember, a lot of tone and nuance is in your hands.
I love my GDec-3 30 ....it's just so versatile!
cheers,
Alex
