I just bought a Fender Mustang 1. And when i connect it to my laptop using the usb cable, open fuse and it says in the bottom left hand corner "No Amplifier Connected".

I downloaded the latest version, tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, deleting it and downloading it again. Downloaded ASIO, Amplitube, Ableton, stil no amplifier connected.

Hi stj1884,

You may also want to check your PC with the amp connected in the Sound Control Panel. To do this, go to Start/Control Panel/Sound or Hardware and Sound. There you can check in the Input or Recording device Tab to see if Mustang is displayed. If so, then you are likely seeing a software issue and we can look further into that area. If you do not see a device listed for Mustang, then likely you may have an issue with the USB port on your PC or the amp may have a defective USB port. Please check this out and let us know. Thanks.

I am having a similar problem. I have a new (mid 2012) Macbook Air, with Mountain Lion. Using Fender FUSE 2.6.0.25, I was able to connect on a Windows Vista computer, and a MacBook Pro with Lion. But the laptop I want to use is my MacBook Air. I tried all the things suggested in previous posts.

If I look in About This Mac, I do see my Mustang 1 listed under USB. However Fuse says "No Amplifier Connected". I deleted the Fender files in /System/Library/Extensions and emptied the trash and reinstalled the software. No luck.

Thanks for any help.

Jeff

Hi jefffstone,

I would suggest that you try the new Public Beta Release build of Fender FUSE. Please see the link below to download it. A substantial difference here for you will be that the v2.6.1 build no longer uses unique drivers on Mac. Please give this a try and let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Alan,

Thanks for your quick and effective reply. I installed the beta version you suggested and all is well. FUSE on my Macbook Air immediately connected to the Mustang 1.

I was having the same problem on a new Mac Book Pro. Fuse would install but "no amp connected" was all I could get no matter how many times or what sequence I installed things. The new public beta fixed the issue first time. Great going!

Hi quahog,

I would suggest that you install our newest build of Fender FUSE. It is a public beta release, but has been well tested. Please find that here: http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.1.35.dmg. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Ditto,

Mustang iii v2. Fender Fuse insists that there is NO AMP CONNECTED. Tearing my hair out for three hours uninstalling and reinstalling things before realising this is a common problem.

Bit cross now.

Hi Guys,

We have just released an initial updated version of the Fender FUSE version 2.7 software that is compatible with your amp. Please see the link below and grab the new build from there. Thanks.
