Please Fender, linux users can't join the party. As far as I can tell, it looks like PLUG 1.2 doesn't work for v2 amps.
At least just give us a utility to download the firmware update for my new Mustang.

Ok Guys. Here is the story.

I had the day off from my job. Everything was set. Wife was going to let me use our new car. (the one she drives), then someone called off work and they begged me to fill their spot. They have been very good to me so I chose to work instead of going to Fender.

With that said, I am still going to Fender, just don't know exactly when. I'm going to go as soon as possible. I will let you all know before I go. (and I will turn off my Cell phone too lol )

I was hoping that a few of you would of wanted to go with me, but I can see that everyone's schedules are just as hectic as mine.

Sorry I let you all down, but I'm only about 5 hours away from Fender headquarters. So I will go just as soon as I can.

Again sorry for the letdown.

Hey Larry
No worries. Thanks for trying. I'm retired and live about 50 miles from Scottsdale so let me know when you are going and I should be able to join you.

Thanks Marky. I will let you know. I live in Henderson, NV, so it's about a 5 hour drive one way. The more of us that go together, the better it will be.

Marky, which Mustang amp do you have? I have the Mustang III. Just purchased another Fender amp, the EVH 5150III 2x12 50 watt combo. Has my first gig last night and it was so loud, I could actually be louder than our drummer lol.

Anyway, I will keep you and everyone else informed as to when I will go to Fender.

Thanks for all your patience and for forgiving me for not going to Fender when I said. I really feel bad about that.

You honestly think that it will make an iota of difference? Unless you can call a huge number of demonstrators, enough for the press to take an interest, you won't even reach the ears of those who can Make Things Happen.
Fender is busy trying to divest in preparation for sale / refinancing, and is cutting back. Mustang Floor is now history, for example. So is the entire Fender Japan.

Their "promise" from last year did not actually promise anything, if you read what it actually says, and not the positive tone. It's a writ of mollification, nothing more.

There has to my knowledge never been any FUSE releases that brought new functionality to existing amps. Only bugfixes, and the last bug fix is now so old that it walks with a cane.

But sure, go ahead, make a trip - it might be worth seeing the Scottsdale, AZ premises while they exist.

arth1,

You are totally correct. The Mustang Floor is no more. I guess Fender will just keep selling the mustang amps till to many of us complain, then discontinue them like the Floor. Really sad that Fender has become a 2nd rate company relying on its old reputation and not supporting their products like they used to.

If nothing else, visiting Fender in Arizona will show them that at least 1 person is serious about Fender supporting their product. And if they don't support the Fender Fuse software, then that will be my very last Fender purchase. My Schecter Banshee is so much better than any stratocaster I've ever played. And at a fraction of the cost of a Fender Guitar.

Doesn't Fender get it???? There are plenty of other companies out there that support their products and have comparable, if not better products than they do. Why would a long standing company like Fender just spit in their customers faces? I still have a hard time knowing that some Fender items are made in Mexico. How low can you go Fender.

That is my rant for the day :)

yet still there is a bit of truth in it:

I think it´s save to say they are not "able" to fulfill any kind requests.

Fender Mustang is a dead horse, thats why people move on. I have quite a bit of digital gear for creating music and Fuse is by far the worst piece of software I´ve seen so far.
Meanwhile other companies outdistance Fenders software engineering while we talk. Only a hand full of die hard Fanderbois and Fender itself cannot see the bigger picture.
