First of all, I really love the Mustang III v2. Rick did a totally awesome job on this, it's probably the best damn product/value I have ever seen, and I've been around a while. And it does do metal if you have metal pups.

ok, I love the suggestion from the guy below asking for a developers kit to create our own amps/FX, but most of us aren't up to that level of programming or the time... SO... I once found a demo software product which had a Modular electronic components set and virtual building board, you could drag and drop and connect electronic components, and they would act like the real thing. This is a code venture, with a graphic front end. It was for designing your own modular VST plug-in synths and FX for use in recording. It freakin worked. It was evolved from an electronic engineering suite, then licensed out (which I don't think was the intention, but was probably sales driven) last time I checked it out it had evolved into an annual license pay for subscription model. I'll try to dig up my particulars on this whole thing, and get in touch, feel free to contact me as well if you wish. I know where you want to go with this... and I have an idea what guitarists need, I'm one. Vol. here, gain there, power tubes there, etc. How about this? Modulators, waveforms, caps, you name it... but easy to play with??!! The awesomeness of this is mind-boggling! Let's get in touch!

Ok everyone. On May 18, 2015, I will be knocking of Fenders door, in Scottsdale, Az. at around 9:00am Arizona time. That will mark the 6 month time frame that I talked with Alan. To my knowledge, no updates to Fender Fuse has taken place.

Anyone that wants to join me and show Fender that we are serious about updates to Fuse, please let me know. All are welcome.

The main goal is to talk to as many Fender Executives as possible, even the CEO, to let them know we not only want updates to Fuse, but that we think they Owe us updates.

We have about 1 1/2 weeks before May 18th. It would be great to get 20 people who own Fender Mustang amps to join me. But as many of you that can break away from your busy schedules will be appreciated. If I'm the only one, then I will take on the challenge and hopefully relay all of our concerns.

Thanks guys. Hope to see you there.

Did you ever get a response to your latest question?

indeed, what i call a firmware issue (make your own opinion based on my screencast) is what they call "working as designed"
So imho this is bad design, incompetent programming, or even both.
I moved on, cause there are much more elaborated devices of different brands, you know. Have fun with your fuse products

I wish you all the best, expect some nice giveaways, warm words, no results.

Or will they give you a demo of the brand new version of their latest fuse build?
Maybe just ask to see the current changelog

accept it, fuse is dead, as is silverlight what it´s made with.
This Fender® FUSE™ Software Information Statement is so hilarious and time will prove they just lied straight in our faces.

Well, I will tell you what I got.

1. EVH 5150 III 2x12 50 watt Combo
2. Boss GT-100

The 5150 III has great sound and reverb, and the GT-100 has all the effects a person could ever want. AND, you can have several Distortions at a time, as well as several of anything, unlike the Mustang III I have. Only 1 of each type of effect.

Plus, the GT-100 has 200 user presets and I can connect it in the 4 cable method which allows me to bypass the preamp in the 5150 III. So this combination gives me endless possibilities and blows away the Mustang III.

Well, congratulations there, fella. That only cost you about $2,000. Uh, that's only about FIVE TO SIX TIMES AS EXPENSIVE as the Mustang III.

grritz, You are exactly correct. I paid $2,000 for the pair. However, I really needed the extra power and ease of changing presets that the GT-100 offers vers the Mustang III. Don't get me wrong, I still really like the Mustang III. But building the sets for my band is a lot easier with the GT-100. I also get a lot of extras that I could never have with the Mustang III. But I also have to carry a really heavy amp around now lol.

All in all, I still use my Mustang III amp for practice and jamming with friends. But when I play out, I use the 5150 III. The sound is really awesome, and this amp is extremely versatile and user friendly. And besides, tube amps rule... :)

Well, if it works for ya. But you're not gonna convince me that "tube amps rule." That's what a lot of people want to think. Just like a Les Paul has more sustain than a Strat—which also is not true. Been proven too many times that a Strat has more sustain. But LP owners/fans just won't give up on that one, either. I can make my Mustang sound like any tube amp out there. How do I know that? I've done it. Amen.

grritz, I'm glad you like your Mustang. I do to. But I can tell you, in my opinion, my 5150 III sounds better at a gigging volume than my Mustang III. But as always, the sound is subjective to each individual. Saying that, go to a good recording studio and see which amp they will prefer. I'm sure they will almost always pick the tube amp over a solid state amp every time. But again, that is just my opinion.

I do agree that the Mustang has a great sound. I just prefer the tube amp for gigging, as I said.

It has been 4 months since I talked with Alan on the phone about the Fender Fuse Software update. So far we have received nothing. In 2 month I will be driving to Phoenix Arizona and talk Alan and anyone else I can speak with at the Fender main office. Fender has made us wait long enough for an update to the Fuse software.

Anyone that wants to meet me there and talk to Fender as a group of Fender Mustang owners is more than welcome. I will be there on Monday, May 18th, 2015, first thing in the morning.

So, Larry...how'd it go?
