Don't know why YOU want to make this personal, but hey, whatever. Again, I will ask. WHAT HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED IN 4 YEARS HERE? Nothing that I can see.

I made this personal because I object to your snide and smarmy smarter-than-thou original comment. If you don't want to help put out a house fire, at least don't be the drunken, one-toothed idiot standing there yelling "burn baby, burn."

Some of us are writing and calling and trying to get something done here. Successful? It depends on how you define success. We are becoming less patient and more united in our efforts—and that alone is an accomplishment. But you can't see that. Because all you see is the fire and you'd rather pour gas on it.

And now you're are trying to turn this into a "discussion" of pros/cons, again taking that smarter-than-thou stance.

You remind me of "the boss" in Chevy Chase's rant in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." Here's what Chevy Chase says:

"I want to look him straight in the eye and tell him what a cheap, lying, no good, rotten, four flushing, snake licking, dirt eating, inbreed, overstuffed, ignorant, blood sucking, dog kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat a$$ed, bug eyed, stiff legged, spotty lipped, worm headed, sack of monkey s**t he is!!!"

Now...puhleeze...slither back under the rock you came from . Brainless.

Hey I love that movie! Anyway, last post here for me. I'll let you play with your little toy (take that anyway you want) and I'll move on. Just remember, more than just me see you spending 4 years of accomplishing absolutely nothing. Waste your time, maybe one day you will grow up.

Hi, not sure whether this is Fuse or firmware - the distinction seems pretty blurred now, but two items I would like are
a) for the amp to default to the last used patch when switching on
b) a mid-boost function a-la Clapton, Gilmour and several other strat users (Yes, I know theirs is in the guitar, but......!!! )

Ditto on your first request here. Would really like to have power-on default to last used patch.

I am having a problem with Fuse and the software not seeing my G-Dec 3. I have backgraded down to original software, tried different versions of Silverlight, and read and tried ALL the FAQ's on problems with both Fender products. No resolutions to my problems found yet.
I like the amp and use it frequently at home for its low volume practicality, but am annoyed the software team has not addressed the many complaints users have submitted.

Also, you changed your community login password standard, and MANAGED to lose all my registered Fender products, including my most recent Fender Select Stratocaster. I own a large number of your products, so re-registering them is a PITA. Do you want to ensure customer loyalty? This seems like another example of corporate mindset of "move the product ... then leave them to their own resolutions" I am 63 years old and own a 1966 Fender Wildwood VI acoustic, so this is certainly not my first rodeo !!! Be human and mind the customer, they pay the bills.

Thank you Alan for posting a summary of our request for upgrading Fender Fuse Software. The only thing you told us was that Fender is still supporting and considering updating the Fuse software. It has been a very long time since any updates have come out. We, as Fender Amplifier owners that use the Fuse software really do need a a little more than what you have put into your post. I do feel somewhat better that you confirmed that Fender will be coming out with a newer version of Fuse, but we really need to have an ETA. Not only that, but what will be considered in the update. If I had to choose an order of the items you posted that were possible changes/upgrades, it would look like this:

1• Add ‘drag and drop’ arrange/re-order of Presets in FUSE Media Library (Also be able to access backups and change their order as well with "drag & drop".)
2• Simplify account login between Fender® FUSE™ and the Fender FUSE Community
(It took me 2 weeks of calling Fender 2 times to finally be able to log into Fuse Forums)
3• Add ability to choose specific folder for backup and allow backup file name to match the chosen name
4• Offer the ability to sort Presets by amp model
5• Add ability for Fender FUSE to output Preset information document/PDF
6• Offer more information about models, effects and cabs
7• Offer additional video tutorials

I would add the following:

8• Add more effects pedals

The rest would be cool, but wouldn't really help me.

• Add wireless connectivity
• Add mobile App connectivity
• Add extended OS compatibility
• Add virtual ‘Master’ volume control for all models
• Add ability to audition Presets before downloading
• Make ‘Web’ search more consistent
• Offer ability to turn off/view User Interface in a ‘Simple’ mode
• Add USB backup option for Preset content
• Add ‘Accessibility’ features/functions for visually impaired Consumers
• Add ability to combine/save commonly used effects as ‘Favorites’
• Add key commands for common controls/parameters for additional convenience
• Add a metronome
• Add Preset ‘A/B’ compare function
• Offer information bubbles in the Fender FUSE interface

This is my requirements in the order needed by me. I'm sure others would have a different order. Why don't you have the development team just add our Number 1 priority item and just release it by itself:

1• Add ‘drag and drop’ arrange/re-order of Presets in FUSE Media Library (Also be able to access backups and change their order as well with "drag & drop".)

Then when they have another one finished, just release that?
You don't have to make a major over hall of the software to make most of us happy, just a piece here and there would be great.

These are my thoughts. What do the rest of you Fender owners think?

Larry:

Good post. Well stated.

What I really like is your suggestion near the end that Fender can release updates one-by-one. That's an excellent idea! As you say, there's no real need to do a major overhaul if doing it piece-by-piece will work just as well.

I really like that thinking.

So...Alan????????????
