Hi BlueZee,

Thanks very kindly for your detailed feature request list and graphic. There are some very cool ideas here. And just to clarify, the Technology Support Lab does not make decisions regarding whether or not any specific features get implemented into Fender® FUSE™. But we very much appreciate your feedback here, and are adding this information to the list of feature requests that we have received.

Please let us know if we can assist with anything in the meantime.

Best Regards,

Alan

Hi skin2000,

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced this frustration with Fender® FUSE™ on Windows. I wanted to check with you to see if you have contacted us and/or gone through our detailed 'No Amp Connected' troubleshooting documentation? It sounds as though you may have. And though most Windows and Mac users are able to successfully install and use Fender FUSE, we are not able to guarantee 100% compatibility on all systems.

If you have not utilized any of the aforementioned support channels, I would encourage you to contact us or at a minimum, read through the linked 'No Amp Connected' documentation. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

For some months now I´m still waiting to get this fixed:

PP-Mini: Stompbox broken:
- A stompbox cannot be saved in the FX-Section
- stompbox effect is inserted into all presets, not only the selected one
(which also kicks existing sb/p-g effects in every other preset!)

why does it take so long?
If it won´t fix please just tell me, no need for diplomatic excuses.

Geez. I'm seeing posts here going back to 2010 about being able to rearrange presets with drag-and drop (or some other user-friendly function). 2010...and still nothing. This is embarrassing for Fender FUSE and disappointing and frustrating for us users. Get on the stick, guys! Stop telling us you're working on it and...GET. IT. DONE.

They have not told that they're working on it (or anything else). All they say is that they forward suggestions.

Thats true, cause they don´t tell anything to their fuse community at all!
You only get the same level1-support replies over and over again. The mere lack of communication is really terribly.
(no offense to TSL-Alan here who just does his job, guess he must feel left alone also)

Anyway, I think its not too much to ask to fix bugs,
or after months of waiting at least get a status update bout the issues.
So far I´m very disappointed.

Yep...since buying my Stratocaster and Mustang III earlier this year, I'm A MAJOR Fender fan...until this.

Something just HAS TO HAPPEN. From what I've read in this thread (all 21 pages!), it's obvious that we (the Fender community) keep asking for changes/updates/etc., and all we get is "We're listening."

I find Fender's lack of response on some of the issues here totally baffling, very frustrating and at least a bit angering.

This is not response...it's insult.

It's about time that Fender did SOMETHING—or at least made a public commitment—to fix and update FUSE.

"We hear you" is not enough. We want ACTION...NOW!

At least fixing reported and reproducible bugs and incompatibilities.

Like FUSE under Windows x64 being unusable on high DPI displays - if you set the DPI correctly, FUSE will cut off parts of the display and not display the stomp box area no matter how big your screen is.
Or the "universal" ASIO driver not working with USB 3.0 ports under Windows 7.

Hi arth1,

Fender® FUSE™ should be view-able on monitors with a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. If you can email us with your specific system specifications, we can test to reproduce here.

In regard to compatibility of the Fender Universal ASIO driver with Windows 7 and USB 3.0, please be sure that you are using our latest driver (see link below). We are not seeing issues here with Win 7 & USB 3.0 ports. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alan

It's fully reproducible, and not computer brand specific. I've posted this before, but here goes again.

Steps to reproduce:
1: Acquire a laptop or monitor with a DPI of higher than 170 or so and a resolution larger than the FUSE minimum. Any of the 1920x1080 13" ultrabooks will work.
2: Install Windows 7 unless already present (it's likely a problem with Vista/8/8.1/10 too, but I cannot verify that).
3: Set the DPI to the correct value for the screen. E.g. start menu, enter "dpi", hit return, choose "Set custom text size (DPI)" on the left, and then adjust the DPI to fit the screen, so one inch on the screen is one inch on a ruler.
You should now have a DPI setting of higher than 150, which is correct and normal for high DPI displays, and ensures that WYSIWYG will work - a 10 pt font on screen is going to be 10pt when printed, and a 5x7" image is going to be 5x7" on screen too.
4: Install FUSE. Run it. Watch the lower part of the window contents having disappeared below the non-resizeable border, no matter how big the screen is. You could have a 4096 height screen and still lose the bottom content.

(If you cannot get a high DPI monitor to test with, just set the DPI artificially high instead of correct. Like to 175% or 200%. The same effect will occur, but everything will look too big. It won't on a higher DPI monitor, so don't let this distract you from the real problem.)

The problem is mixing scalable and non-scalable elements, which Microsoft has told developers not to do since 2001. Scalable elements include text, widgets and anything measured in mm, point or inches. Non-scalable elements are those measured in pixels. The window contents are scalable because they are rendered with Silverlight. The Window/canvas is not scalable because the FUSE devs have hardcoded the size in pixels.

Note that the usual remedy for non-scaling-compliant programs (right-click, properties, compatibility, "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings") does not work because it only affects the splash screen, not the FUSE app itself.

The only easy way to get FUSE to not chop off the bottom in its window on a high DPI display, no matter how much screen real estate you have, is to set an incorrectly low DPI and not be able to use the computer for WYSIWYG, and depending on eyesight, not be able to use it for anything because of fonts and widgets becoming too small.

Hi arth1,

Thanks for posting these details and reproduction steps. I will put a bug ticket in our system and discuss with our lead Software dev. And we will test here to reproduce.

Best Regards,

Alan

Alan:

You're not the problem. TSL is not the problem. The problem is the "appropriate people" to whom you pass on your information. I'm beginning to wonder if they even exist. For years...years!...people here have been asking for improvements/updates/fixes.

And...nothing. N. O. T. H. I. N. G.

So, we have no hope—none—that any of this is being worked on. And we are tired of "Thanks...we'll pass that along to the appropriate people." Can no one there give us any idea that any of this is being worked on? Can no one tell us when we're gonna see an update?

This is ludicrous. If it weren't so frustrating, it would be downright laughable.

Just a few suggestions for the Fuse / Mustang.

Swapping the order of the presets on the amp without having to take files off and back on would be great.

Allowing two stomps at the same time. ie compressor and overdrive.

A drag and drop for files from the amp / to the amp??. It would be great to have one screen shot eg. Amp at the top and PC underneath and just click.

Just nit picking, but it was easier to swap files to and from my mini disk than this amp. (Sony Sonicstage). This still hasn't but me off the amplifier, still loving it!!
