The first and most important thing that Fender needs to do is to improve the stability of the software. The 2.6.1.45 update has only started successfully twice on my computer (dual core PC running Windows 7). It starts up, then dims the screen and then Starting Up just blinks on and off forever. This software sucks. It is not intuitive (already covered above), it is not easy to use (also covered above), and really doesn't do anything very well at all. The presets are a joke. I have used Fender amplifiers exclusively since 1968 and I feel that Fender isn't really serious about amplifiers any more. Yes, things have been worse at times but this is pretty bad. Fender is simply living off of its reputation for the great amps built in the 50's and 60's.

How about being able to export a CSV type file from the media Library In Fuse. That way you could print out an excel sheet if you so desired and Jot down what Location a preset is saved to and keep it handy on top of your amp if you don't have it connected to a computer.

In defence of interface designers, 95% know that usability is king - and that making things look like they do in the real world is often a bad idea - I can see why Fender did it here, but then they trapped themselves in the metaphor as the knobs are a pita to move.
It would also be so much better to have everything there to adjust on one screen - an advanced user's screen layout ?

But the biggest pain is that all these requests have been utterly ignored for months and months. Don't bother posting here - it makes no difference. Fender just say "thanks for that great idea, we'll pass it on" and nothing happens. This is even worse marketing than not having a forum.

I don't hate Fuse, but I do hate that it hasn't been improved after all the user feedback.

Apologies if this has already been requested...
I'm using the SCX2 combo in primarily low-volume applications and would be grateful to have the option of having the "Advanced Amp" settings modified in Fuse stored in the SCX2 (Virtual SAG and Bias, and especially the Noise Gate setting). Perhaps these settings could be stored as an adjunct to a preset? Such capabilites would bring an already impressive amp to the next level in terms of tonal versatility. Thanks!

I think some change of unit measurement of effect would be great.

This is probably the most irritating "feature" of FUSE, that parameters do not correspond to real life descriptors. An overhaul of the dial descriptors and units of measurements is long overdue.

any idea why my profile image is no longer their. Was up about a month ago. Tried uploading again and now wont take any of my pic's, I also see that that the square box that would contain the pic next to my preset uploads also do not contain my pic or others who commented on my preset, has their been a recent change. Would be nice to customize Fuse with our pic's. I am use Windows 7.

Hi!

I know my list has been requested already, but to give the request an extra voice here it is:

1) Easy re- arranging of preset so you can get the presets for the gigg in right sequrnce.

2) Posibillity to loop sections on band track and slow down the audio to practise parts of a song.

3) better/bigger fonts when adjusting params on effects e.g. delaytime.

Regards
Thor

Hi

I love my Superchamp X2 on its clean channel with an mild overdrive, it sounds really good with my gretsch.

I would like to report i run Fuse on a 2008 macbook pro and it was worked faultlessly, forgive me if you can already do this but i would like to request if backing tracks could be played through the amp speaker and it would be great if you guys could produce some presets for us to download, after all you guys know these amps the best!

Also could you work on a firmware update that would make some of the amp effects not detract from the overall sound , for example reverb and echo sound good and do not detract from the sound because they do not change the sound just add to it, chorus and vibro etc seem to take something off the sound because they are altering the actual sound not just adding onto it like echo and reverb, finally a couple of effects have a noticeable digital sounding fade out that does not sound natural, hope that all this makes sense?

Kind regards

Mark

Wow. Haven't been here in months. It's hard to believe this thread is still going, people are still asking for the same things and still there's no update. In the meantime, I've been gigging with the Mustang III. I started with factory pre-sets and altered them, getting a handful that are very useful, and I USE them! It's a great-sounding amp. But it seems the software team is under-staffed or asleep at the wheel. I can think of two VERY SIMPLE things that would make this software a LOT more useful: 1) A hundred people have asked for it. We're almost begging here: Let us drag presets around in the list so we can easily re-arrange them 2) I'll bet a lot of folks would use this one too -- let us set up banks of 3 pre-sets each that we can scroll to, then select from the 1/2/3 buttons on the big pedal. That way, bank 1 could be, for example, a Deluxe, with 1) Clean 2) Crunch 3) Overdrive. Bank two could be British 60s with three preset choices. Bank 3 could be a Twin....you get the idea.

Two software upgrades and this amp could become incredibly useful for the gigging musician. Its not bad now, mind you, it's just cumbersome. Come on. A new release.

Tim

I think it would be good to allow FUSE to import other file types into the Band library. There are lots of backing tracks for sale on itunes and it would be nice to use them with out having to convert them to mp3.

No replies from TSL since Feb 25... I wish I would have read this thread before I went to a large gear show at a large internet retailer's facility yesterday. I would have brought this up with the Fender Reps that I spoke to while I was there. What gives? :?

I would like to be able to enter numerical values for any knob. Sometimes it's hard to dial in a parameter with a .2 division with my touch pad. It would be much easier to just enter the numbers.

I second the idea for a developer kit. Fender users have been tweeking amps for decades the software should be no different. Fender will benefit from more developers working on the software and bugs should be fixed sooner. Fuse should be modeled after successful open source projects like Android, Linux, Reprap ect.
