Alan Willey...
Before I update, I assume the new software does not address the long standing "Frozen Knobs in the preset amps" issues...which is what I am waiting for.

I'm afraid it doesn't, I did a test. But maybe they just messed up the files on the download site? The new one ist titled 2.6.0.25 but shows up as 2.6.0 in the "'About"-screen.
Interesting enough, concerning the "frozen knobs after preset change with sam amp modell" the new Fuse version is worse than the Fuse-beta 2.6.0.14 built on Apr.2nd which at least solved the problem for the main controls (but not for the controls in the advanced amp section).

Now you have the choice:
- Update and get rid of the "Unintended FX Switch"-Error and have a Middle-knob (Exit + Treble) on MI and MII - high on my wishlist!.
- Or stay with your old version and don't have "frozen knobs".

I noticed that, I ended up running it twice to be sure. If open the install folder and run the new version install, you will see the first thing it does is remove all files from that folder. That's how I knew it was definitely updated.

Hi Guys,

The 'hot fix' update that we released earlier this week has a couple of minor updates and fixes as noted in the Announcements. It does not fix this known issue. We will be releasing a larger update soon that will include this fix and a number of other fixes and updates. The version 2.6.0.25 is the current release and is the download installer on the Fender FUSE Community homepage. Please stay tuned. And thanks for your patience.

I'm eagerly awaiting a fix for the "frozen knobs" issue as well.

2.6.0.25 only updates the software on your computer (not the amp). The HELP menu in FUSE will tell you you're running 2.6.0, whether you updated or not. I think you have to just trust it for this update, if the update process says it completed, then you are running 2.6.0.25.

If you are comfortable with Windows Explorer (assuming you are running Windows), you can check the last modified date for the files in the FUSE folder after you update. For example, on my Windows XP computer, I would look in C:\Program Files\Fender\Fender FUSE and look at the "last modified" date for FUSELauncher.exe.

For the amp, assuming you ran the 1.10 firmware, and assuming you're talking about a Mustang III ....

1. Turn on the amp
2. Press the UTIL button 8 times

It should say:

About this amp
Model: Mustang III
Version: 1.10

You can also load Fender FUSE (with the amp connected and turned on) and click Main Menu point to HELP and select About Fender FUSE... The firmware version should display on the right-hand side of the About window with the date of the firmware version.

For example: 1.10 - (June 11 2012)

I guess Mustang Users could skip the Fuse .025 Update. But MI and MII Users need it to do the firmware update to 1.10 without errors. And the new virtual Mids-Knob is worth an update!
Yes, now let's wait for the next fuse release to get rid of the frozen knobs...

Hi Frente,

Yes, Fender Mustang I/II owners will need to update to the recent hot fix release version 2.6.0.25 (currently on the Fender FUSE home page htttps://fuse.fender.com) in order to get the recent Mustang firmware version 1.10 correctly updated for their amps. Thanks.
