I just purchased a Mustang I. What are the best sounds on the Fender Fuse software to put into my amp? I'd like to hear from some of the Fender Fuse users out there.

Thanks in advance.

Your question is WAY too open ended to get helpful replies.

The amp comes with 24 presets pre-installed. Maybe you should play around with those first and see if anything takes your fancy.

Not surprisingly, the Mustang amps are good at modelling the tones of the classic Fender tube amps - Bassman, 57/65Deluxe, Twin Reverb etc, and there are presets for all of those on the amp 'out of the box'. If you prefer more modern and/or over-driven/distorted sounds, there are some of those on the amp as well.

Instead of asking such wide questions here, you really just need to dig in and see what you find ! Or at least give us a clue as to what style/type of sound you like/are looking for.

The reason for my overall general question is because I have read on other forums that, except for a couple of the clean tones, most of the other presets that come on the amp out of the box, are not considered to have good tone.

But, I think I'll just go through all of them myself and make my own judgement. I just thought that maybe I would get a few opinions here from those who have already done it and would be willing to share their thoughts and make my job a little easier.

There are posters here who dislike the clean tones but are very complimentary about the driven/distorted offerings on the amps (although personally I find many of them ludicrously overdone).

Beauty is in the ear of the listener !

That's why I suggested you need to explore for yourself. If you do find some tones you like, and let us know what they are, it will be easier for people here to steer you towards other similar possibilities; there are hundreds of presets in the Fuse online library

Hi greatgb99,

In addition to getting Presets from the Fender FUSE Community site, you can also start with simply turning some knobs on your amp to get a feel for the different Presets (models) and their behavior along with the assigned effects and Gain, tone etc. So, you might start by turning up/down the Gain on a given Preset and changing or turning off (Mod or Dly/Rev knobs to 'zero') and adjusting Treble and or Bass. If you like what you are hearing, you can press the Save button twice to confirm an overwrite. Keep in mind that you will overwrite what was in that Preset location prior. If you want to restore your amp to Factory settings, hold down the Exit button while you power the amp on. Thanks.
