Hi all

I have my Super Champ X2 for about a week and I love the sound of it.

I have installed the Fuse software (v2.6.0). I installed the latest firmware for the amp.

Everything seemed to work just fine. I can connect the amp to my laptop and create sounds. When I turn the knobs on the amp, I see the changes on the laptop screen.

Just one thing. When I turn the voice knob on the amp it does not change correctly on the screen. (eg I turn it from 1 to 4 and on screen it moves to 2, when i turn it further to 5 it goes back to 1 on screen). Also when I save a new voice to preset 3 (British 80's + compression) and disconnect the amp from fuse afterwards, the new preset is not on them amp. I don't get any error messages.

Did anyone experience something similar? What can I do to make it work exactly as described in the user manual?

Thanks

That doesn't sound right to me at all. Have you tried basic things like an amp reset and rebooting your computer. I had some weird issues when I first got mine, but an amp reset seems to have fixed them.

What I allready tried...

1) reset the amp (holding the tap button when turning on the amp)
2) updating the firmware. I didn't download the latest firmware for the X2. I thought that the firmware included in fuse v2.6 should be the most up to date.
3) Tried to reboot, disconnect the amp and reconnect, created other voices without or without a stombox,

basically trial and error :|

I haven't tried to change the settings of the FX knob yet. It could be that I would have the same troubles doing that.

I have installed the fuse soft on a Lenovo T410 laptop with a intel Core I5 runnin WIN XP.

I might try to connect my amp to an Apple IMAC... you never know

Thanks a lot for your help by the way!

I think that is a good idea. If it happens on another computer you might need to swap it for another. Good luck.

I'm back with still the same problem :(

I have now connected the amp to an Apple Imac. => no change... so it doesn't look like it's a problem with my PC.
downloaded the latest firmware (scx2_v1.1.upd) and installed it (not by selecting bundle, but the firmware file itself) => no change...

Should I conclude that my amp has really got a technical problem?

Is there anybody out there...with a solution (or the same problem)?
Any Fender moderator that recognizes the symptoms?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi makker,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing some frustrations with your amp/Fender FUSE. It sounds like you may have a hardware issue here. Can you please contact me directly via the email/phone number below? That way we can go over a few troubleshooting steps and sort out what may be going on. Thanks.

Hey,

I'm sorry for digging up this old thread, but it seems I've been running in the same issues.
I've got my Fender Superchamp X2 since a few days and really having a blast.

If I connect my amp to FUSE and turn the Voice Knob on the amp from "16" to "1" it switches back to "16" in FUSE and amp. If I turn the Knob to "2" it jumps to "3". If I set the Knob to about "1 1/2" it locks to "1". Everything above "2" works completly fine.

Also if I hold the Knob tigthly on Voice "1" it stays on "1" as long as I don't release the knob. The issue also occurs without FUSE.

Further Informations:
OS: Win7 64bit
amp firmware: SCX2_V1.1
FUSE: 2.6.0

Debugging so far:
- Factory reset
- firmware update
- rebooting amp/PC
