Have new g dec 3 and after spending the time resorting the loaded fender presets the way I like them, 45 out of 100 preset "names" do not carry over to the FUSE control panel in AMP mode. All elements are in the Amp however.
On FUSE the preset number is identified along with the amp and fx model but not the preset name. Not a big deal but it should work properly for the $300 I paid.
If I backup the amp presets these (45) preset names are backed up with out the name and when restored to the amp these names are now missing in the amp. If I copy the preset to the amp again the preset name will appear in the control panel as it should but will disappear when I close out of FUSE.
I did try another USB port and I have installed all the software updates (2.6 and 1.04)
I did backup the original 100 when I purchased the amp...if I restore it back to the original presets everything is good to go.
I found a thread similar to this issue in 2011 on this forum but I dont see a real answer to the problem ...need help.
Any suggestions??

Hey sackman,

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fender FUSE and Microsoft Silverlight?

Loren,
I went ahead and reinstalled Fuse and silverlight and I tried resorting 22 presets. The bad news is I still have the same problem. 17 out of the 22 presets did not show a name in the Fuse control panel window. All the other info is there...amp, fx, slot number but no preset name carried over from the amp next to the preset number after I closed out of Fuse and reopened it again.
The name shows in the control panel when I save the preset to the amp and it shows in the amp. Once I close out of the screen the 17 names disappear.. I am copying these fender original presets from my library (the save to amp) feature. This is frustrating and time consuming, I am not a computer tech nor do I have the time to troubleshoot this stuff. I just want the thing to function as it should. The software has been on the market for sometime now.

I believe the workaround (at least it worked for me and others) is to force a sync in a particular manner.

Select, in Fuse, one of your "blank' presets. Then, turn to your amp, and push the amp soft button. Rotate the knob one detent, and then back again to your original amp setting.

The red Save button should be lit up. Tap it, (and confirm it by tapping again, even though technically nothing has changed) and that will force a sync to Fuse. Your preset name in Fuse should no longer be blank.

Good luck!

Loren, this workaround works when you force it this way... it also works when I open the preset in the library first, this will force the red (save) light to go on in the amp and I hit AMP save.
Is this a BUG then? Why do saving some presets work fine and others do not? Some even worked when I saved it to the amp a second time but most did not.

Thanks for the workaround ARX320.

You're welcome, though I can't take original credit. That happened back in Fuse 2.3, in this thread (4th post down, a user by the name AlexeiY): http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=59090

Hey Sackman,

We have yet to reproduce this problem on any of our machines here in the TSL. As a rule of thumb, if you can reproduce it you can't fix it. We'd be interested in seeing some of your system logs though. Any information you can give us would be helpful.

I have the same issue. Everything appears on the amp control panel, but the name of the preset doesn't appear in Fuse. It's only an issue on presets that I've created on my own - no issues on the factory presets. Work around has been to reimport the patch to the amp in the same preset slot. That seems to trigger Fuse to recognize the name. However, when I turn the amp off it happens all over again. Turn the amp back on, connect to FUSE, and the preset names appear on the amp but not on FUSE.

Loren, HELP!!!!!!
I am really getting annoyed with FUSE software..I have 2 problems now....... I find that if the same AMP is being used in a series of presets in numerical order..ie Blkface Cln on 06,07,08,09 etc., the amp knobs wont change when you select the neighboring presets.
If I select and open slot 07 for example and then go to open 06,08,09 the AMP knob settings for 07 show up. I can only get the others to open up correctly if I open up a slot with a different AMP model (Brit Steel in slot 18 for example) and go back to open the Blkface slots. This is also the case when a preset is dialed on the gdec3. The gdec 3 Amp has the correct knob positions but not FUSE.
I have spent countless hours on this and I am ready to deep six FUSE....

Hey Sackman,

Please try to keep redundant posting to a minimum. As Frente mentioned in the other post we are aware of the problem and are working on it. Again, we appreciate your patience.
