I'm using a Mustang III and just upgraded to v2.5.1. So far it's working great. The USB gain has made the Amplitube software usable (finally!).

But, I'm curious about the 'Save Effects' button. It doesn't seem to do anything. Is this for use with some other model amp? How is it supposed to work?

Hey Richard,

The Save Effects button is for use with Super Champ X2. However you should not be seeing that button at all if you have a Mustang connected. Can you send us a screenshot of your FUSE screen?

Hey Loren,
Just yesterday I was playing w/ this using 2.5.1 with a Mustang II and the Save Effects Button lit up after changing some parameters, when clicked on asks which of the effects presets (A1, A2, A3, etc.) you wish to save to. Not at that computer now or would try to make a screen shot for you. By the way, the 2.5.1 has worked fine for me on my Mac, I know a lot of users have had issues, thought you might like to hear from a happy user.

That's great to hear, Twang.

My apologies though, guys. I didn't realize that we left that button visible for other amps in the latest build. Also, that button should definitely be visible when a Mustang I, II, or Mini is connected. It's used to save FX combinations.

Well, I used this knob to save some different effects to D1. So far so good. But how can I reset D1 to the original effect?

Hi tilecaster,

To reset your effect back to the original settings, it is probably easiest to reset the amp. I assume we are talking about a Fender Mustang I or II. Is that correct? Doing this will overwrite any custom settings you nave loaded on the amp currently. Alternatively, you could look up the Preset on the Fender FUSE Community site and reload it assuming that the Preset title has not changed. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Thank you for your answer. That's what I did, reset my Mustang I. But it is a bit frustrating, first reset the amp, then restore the backup.

If I understand correctly, the saved effects setting works for all Presets of the amp, so I don't really understand what you mean with reloading the Preset and why the title has not to be changed?

Hi tilecaster,

What I meant when I was mentioning the individual Preset was that you can look on the Fender FUSE Community site to find the individual Preset and simply overwrite that Preset as an alternative to restoring the entire amp. For example, let's say that you make edits to the effects in the Preset titled "Brutal Metal" and want to reset it to factory settings. You can log in to your Fender FUSE Community and click on the Mustang button and enter the search text "Brutal Metal". From the results list, select "Brutal Metal" from Fender. Then download it and save it to your amp in the location where it was originally. That will effectively replace that single Preset and its effects without you having to restore the entire amp. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Unfortunately that does not work.

And also if I change the effects settings for example of the "D1 slot", this change wil be used with all presets because it changes the settings of the Effects Configuration of the whole amp.

There should be a possibillity to reset each and/or all Effect Slots in Fuse.

Hi tilecaster,

I was referring to the editing of the effects settings in Fender FUSE. When you use the software, I think you will find that once you are done editing a Preset and it's effects, you can save that one and move on to the next Preset up/down and the effects will refresh and show as they are edited for the currently loaded Preset. The MOD and DEL/REV knobs are included on the amp for easy switching when you are not connected to the software.

If you have further questions or if we can assist, please send along a message directly to us and we will be happy to assist. Thanks.

Hi tilecaster,

I am following up to add one more bit of detail. It appears from the title here that you are running version 2.5.1 of the software. Hopefully the information I replied with yesterday was useful for you. We do have a newer version of the software that may work better for you and offer better overall performance. You can find that version of Fender FUSE here: http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... 6.1.35.exe. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Hi,

I'm running V 2.6.0.25. V 2.1.35 seems to be a public beta.

The problem seems to be that you are referring to editing presets and I'm talking of editing the slots of the MOD and DEL/REV knobs because that's what one does with the "Save Effects Button", if I understand correctly.

Hi tilecaster,

Thanks for your reply. So, the Effects knobs are part of the Preset structure. They are included with the Fender Mustang I/II models as a way of offering a 'quick' access function to the amp when it is not connected to Fender FUSE for full editing. You will find that when you are done editing the Preset 'slot' and Save and move on to the next Preset, the Effects slot will be updated to whatever is loaded into the currently loaded Preset. I hope this clarification helps. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us directly for more personalized assistance.

I'am sorry Sir, but this is simply not true.

Example:
I set the amp to green A.
I create a really weird delay effect in the "effects loop".
I use "Save Effects", "D1", "Current Delay", "SAVE".
I don't even save the preset.
Now, when I set the amp to whatever preset and I turn the DLY/REV knob to D1, I will get the weird delay effect.
Even if I switch off the amp in between!

Try it please ;-)

The only way I found to set this back is to reset the amp.
But there should be a "Reset Effects" possibillity in Fuse.

Hi tilecaster,

So, I think that we are talking about two separate pieces of the same thing. When you edit an Effects location and save that, you are updating the currently loaded Preset. You are in that case, just updating the Effects portion. When you do a save of these changes, you will overwrite the previous effects settings for that Preset. My original comment was that if you want to reset the Preset (which included whatever Effects are set up), and it is a Fender Factory Preset (such as "Brutal Metal" for example), you can reload that specific Preset and the entire Preset including the Effects will be reset to Factory without needing to reset the entire amp. I believe that this was your original inquiry. Thanks.
