Hi everyone,
I have finally got FUSE working!
Still fiddling around trying to work out how to use it though, lol!
Does it have a way somewhere in it to record your playing?
Anyone know about this?

Fender FUSE is nothing more than an INTERFACE to your amp. There is no recording options at all. All it does is send commands to the amp and receive updates to "sync" what you see on the screen to what the amp is doing (like if you rotate the preset knob and it takes a second for the amp model to change on FUSE).

If you want to record, that's what Ableton Live is for. It's actually a very useful program. You might want to check that out.

If you didn't want to use software, why did you buy a Mustang? Get a Hot Rod Deluxe or something. Very simple, no computers. Or a Marshall.

Well, I can certainly understand alnovak's frustration. The Ableton software does have a learning curve that can be daunting for someone who has never used a DAW. While I do appreciate Ableton for what it is and everything it has to offer, sometimes you just want to plug in and hit record. I didn't appreciate the fact that I had to watch a tutorial just figure out where the record button was.

That's why I always recommend Audacity. It's free, easy to use, and has all the basic functions right up front. (and some nice advanced functions if you care to dig deeper)

I"m sorry you had such a hard time with the free third party software, Al. Keep in mind that it is free and it isn't required at all in order to get the most out of your amp. Also, we're available through multiple avenues in case you have questions about the software.

As someone else mentioned, Audacity is great if you just want to record something quickly.

Hey mark, hows the recording going?

To answer your question, once you have Audacity installed and the Mustang connected you can go into the recording options and select the Mustang as the input. Then just hit record and start playing.

Got that tip...thanks for that.
Works perfect now, sounds amazing. Have even used the PC to put a couple of my "tracks" to CD! Haven't tried it all with the Tele yet,(I'm awaiting a fret dress, as she hasn't played very well for a few weeks) just my sparkling new "Cochran" 6120! (Really peeved about that at the moment...I have an original 1950s anodised Bigsby with a fixed arm to go on the 6120 when the "factory" warranty expires in October. (It has a ghastly 24k Gold plated one at the moment) I also wanted to replace the stock pickups with the Seymour Duncan versions (the "DeArmond/Dynasonic" and the "Antiquity P-90 "Dog-Ear"), but they don't sell them outside the US... that's that dream shot down in a ball of flames and black smoke!
